As an Application Engineer I: Systems Verification - Emulation, you will provide technical support to Cadence customers, assisting them in effectively deploying industry-leading Verification products. You will work in a team to understand customer needs and provide guidance on the best technologies and methodologies for their success. The role focuses on Cadence products in Hardware Emulation and Prototyping: Palladium, Protium, and other tools. This is a dynamic, fast-paced role integrated with teams globally, requiring strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You'll be responsible for providing innovative solutions to address challenging customer problems, working closely with the Hardware Systems Verification group.
Must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering.
  • Understanding of RTL design and coding (Verilog, VHDL).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good to have:
  • Experience with Unix and C/C++.
  • Knowledge of design fundamentals.
  • Verification skills including UVM testbench architecture.
  • Experience with FPGA implementation.
  • Understanding of SoC architecture fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with embedded software development.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Perl, Python, TCL, Bash).

Cadence Design Systems Inc. is looking for a motivated Application Engineer I: Systems Verification - Emulation to work with us in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

As an Application Engineer, you will be part of System & Verification Group (TFO-SVG) in the Hardware Systems Verification (HSV) group.

The HSV works with Hardware Emulation and Prototyping domain, including Palladium, Protium, and related tools. To understand more on what we do, you can visit Emulation and Prototyping

Job Description:

  • As an Application Engineer you will be responsible to provide technical support, helping Cadence customers to effectively deploy our industry leading Verification products.
  • You will be in a team working with our customers to understand their needs and provide guidance on the best technologies and methodologies to enable their success, coming up with innovate solutions to address our customers’ most challenging problems.
  • This role will be focused on Cadence products on the Hardware Emulation and Prototyping domain: Palladium, Protium and other tools.

Requirements:

  • Complete Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Understanding of RTL design and coding (Verilog, VHDL)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Unix and C/C++
  • Knowledge of design fundamentals such as architecture, micro-architecture, HDL synthesis, and timing
  • Verification skills including UVM testbench architecture, development and debugging, SystemVerilog, and SVA
  • Experience with FPGA implementation and debugging
  • Understanding of SoC architecture fundamentals
  • Familiarity with embedded software development and HW/SW co-design and co-verification
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Perl, Python, TCL, Bash, etc.)
