Job Description
Technicon Design is seeking an automotive interior designer for an onsite role in Italy. This contract is for three months with potential for extension. The designer will lead multiple interior designs from sketch to concept modeling and A-class surfacing, interacting with project management and other departments. Responsibilities include developing design and engineering solutions that align with the design vision and engineering constraints, working with color and trim teams, and collaborating with interaction design for excellent HMI. The role also involves working with suppliers and fabrication teams to achieve high-quality products and prototypes.

Technicon Design has a new and exiting opportunity for an automotive interior designer to be based onsite at our clients in Italy. The contract is for three months but this could be extended if the client requests. You will need to have an E.U passport and be willing to work onsite. Interior Designer Description:
Lead multiple designs from the sketch phase to concept modelling in Alias or clay, and through to A-class surfacing.
Representing Interior Design as interface to Project Management and other departments.
Come up with design and engineering solutions that serve the design vision and also fit with the engineering constraints.
Ability to work on all aspects of Interior design.
Work with colour and trim design team to create designs that consider the opportunities and limits of the colour and trim vision, and work with them to create a unified vision for the designs.
Work with Interaction design team to create designs with excellent HMI
Work with suppliers to achieve the best possible product in terms of craftsmanship, cost, and engineering, while also staying as close to the design vision as possible.
Collaborate with the fabrication team to complete prototypes when necessary.
Have a University degree in transportation design
Very strong design and sketch ability.
Good knowledge of CAD 3D design process and software such as Alias, Photoshop, VRED, and PowerPoint
Independent and confident as well as a good team player
Structured, methodical, and analytical with good planning skills. Ability to understand and analyse requirements from upper management
Highly motivated, flexible, and able to work under constrained time schedules
