Join the Civil Aviation Regional Safety team as an Aviation Safety Officer - Non-Ab-Initio. You will oversee safety audits, drive the organization to achieve safety targets, and manage the Global Safety Management System to identify hazards and minimize risks. The position involves utilizing feedback systems for corrective actions, mitigating corporate and operational risks, and mentoring personnel to enhance safety and continuous improvement.
Must Have:
  • Implementing the Global Safety Management System to enhance safety by identifying hazards and minimizing risks.
  • Utilizing feedback systems to address deficiencies and ensure prompt corrective actions.
  • Managing and improving the Safety Management System to mitigate corporate and operational risks.
  • Achieving Safety Performance Targets through strategic planning and safety training initiatives.
  • Mentoring center personnel to enhance safety and drive continuous improvement.
  • Conducting annual safety audits to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience in coordinating Safety Management Systems within training organizations or airlines.
  • Holder or previous holder of an ICAO recognized Flight Crew License to ATPL level and Type Rating Instructor Certificate.
  • Familiarity with ICAO, Transport Canada, FAR, CASA, EASA, and other NAA regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex safety, technical, and operational events and provide actionable recommendations.

Additionally, you will manage and improve the Safety Management System to mitigate corporate and operational risks. Achieving Safety Performance Targets through strategic planning and safety training initiatives will be a key focus, along with mentoring center personnel to enhance safety and drive continuous improvement. Conducting annual safety audits to maintain compliance with regulatory standards will also be part of your responsibilities.
