Join Sopra Steria's Data Factory as a Big Data Engineer in Orléans, focusing on financial services. You will be part of a team of data experts, developing your knowledge in data ingestion, data hub construction, data transformation, modeling, and deployment. Your role involves understanding business needs, implementing batch and streaming data ingestion solutions in a Cloud context, structuring DataLakes, setting up governance and security processes, processing data for business exposure, and implementing CI/CD pipelines. You will also contribute to technology watch and innovation.

Must Have

• Understand business needs and translate them into data engineering solutions.
• Implement batch and/or streaming data ingestion solutions in a Cloud context.
• Structure DataLake and implement data governance and security processes.
• Process data for business exposure.
• Implement CI/CD pipeline and its supervision.
• Master SQL, Scala, R, Python, or Java for data analysis.
• Master distributed data processing tools like Spark, Pyspark, or Hadoop.
• Master data streaming frameworks such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Data (Big Data, BI) project.
• Good analytical skills and a team player in an Agile environment.

Are you passionate about data valorization? Join our Data Factory! You will meet experts in Data Platform implementation, Data Architects, and other solution experts around data valorization issues.

You will be supported in developing your knowledge through various Data paths, whether for ingestion, data hub construction, data transformation and valorization, modeling, and deployment.

Your role and missions:

As part of the establishment of the Data center for a major state financial player and according to your interests, you will participate in several stages of the chain:

• Understanding business needs and translating them into data engineering solutions.
• Implementing data ingestion solutions, whether batch and/or streaming, in a Cloud context.
• Structuring the DataLake, implementing data governance and security processes.
• Processing data up to business exposure.
• Implementing the CI/CD chain and its supervision.
• Technology watch with our publishing partners and setting up Prototype Design, Proof of Concept, or MVP with the aim of ideation for our clients.

You master a programming language applied to data analysis (SQL, Scala, R, Python, Java), distributed data processing (Spark, Pyspark, Hadoop), and a data streaming framework (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).

Qualifications

You have a good analytical mind, are curious and passionate, and have a sense of teamwork in an Agile organization such as Scrum or SAFE.

Graduated from an engineering school or equivalent training, you have already participated in a Data project (Big Data, BI) and have a minimum of 3 years of experience.
