Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and bilingual Program Manager to lead offshore development programs in the embedded systems domain. This role is responsible for managing complex, safety-critical projects delivered from English-speaking countries, ensuring alignment with Japanese customer expectations, and compliance with industry standards such as ISO-26262 and ASIL. Key responsibilities include managing end-to-end project delivery, translating technical and business requirements, tracking milestones, managing risks, and facilitating communication with stakeholders.
Must Have
- 2+ years of experience in program or project management (preferably in automotive or embedded systems industry)
- Background in automotive electronics, embedded platforms
- Experience working with Japanese customers
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Asana, Microsoft Project, Excel)
- Solid understanding of Japanese business etiquette and communication practices
- Experience managing diverse, multicultural teams across time zones
- Ability to manage SOWs, releases, and change control processes efficiently
- Fluency in Japanese (JLPT N2 or N1) and English (verbal and written)
Good to Have
- Understanding of functional safety (ISO-26262) and ASIL processes
- Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2)
- Experience with real-time systems, HMI development, or ECU software
- Knowledge of Agile and/or V-Model development methodologies

Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced and bilingual Program Manager to lead offshore development programs in the embedded systems domain. Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end delivery of projects executed by offshore teams
- Translate technical and business requirements effectively between Japanese and English
- Track project milestones, manage risks, and drive issue resolution with a proactive mindset
- Facilitate regular reviews, customer updates, and status reports to all stakeholders
- Support contract/SOW discussions and release planning
- Use tools like JIRA, MS Project, Asana, and Excel for tracking, reporting, and communication
