Job Description

Join Philips Innovation Engineering’s Innovation Consulting team to drive impactful innovation and improve performance across global businesses. This role involves participating in innovation projects, conducting in-depth analysis of trends and technologies in MedTech, and contributing to process improvement. You will generate actionable insights, develop project plans, and report on deliverables, working closely with Philips businesses and functions. An AI practitioner, you will integrate data and AI innovations into assignments and tool development, gaining experience across various Philips businesses and building a large network.

  • Dutch understanding preferred.
Must Have:
  • Participate in innovation projects (strategy, portfolio management, evaluating new business options, value proposition, business case creation, shaping value and cost innovations).
  • Drive innovation analysis activities by conducting in-depth assessments of trends, competitive landscapes, current performance and emerging technologies within MedTech.
  • Contribute to process improvement efforts aimed at enhancing innovation effectiveness and outcomes.
  • Generate actionable insights and recommendations to inform strategic decision making.
  • Collaborate with project leaders to develop project plans and budgets.
  • Report on project deliverables to stakeholders and the internal team.
  • Establish and maintain an operational network to support projects/areas.
  • Support consulting organization with internal processes and team activities.
  • Master’s degree in an innovation, biomedical science or related discipline with outstanding scholarly results.
  • 1-2 years of experience in delivering complex projects aimed at enhancing innovation effectiveness and outcomes.
  • Foundational knowledge and passion for Design Thinking, Innovation Strategy, Product Marketing, Innovation culture and capability.
  • Experience in working directly with clients.
  • Collaborative and fast learner mindset, eager to pick up and apply new approaches and tools.
  • Excellent communicator and presenter.
  • Advanced skills in using Excel, PowerPoint, data & analytics, and visualization tools.
  • Comfortable using and explaining AI tools.
  • Self-starter who connects easily and builds trust.
  • Team player who motivates others and takes initiative.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Willing to work in a hybrid model, at the Philips office at the High-tech Campus in Eindhoven (min. 3 days/week).

Job Description

Join Philips Innovation Engineering’s dynamic Innovation Consulting team to drive and shape impactful innovation, improve innovation performance and realize business and innovation results across our global business. We’re looking for a talented starter with a passion for innovation and cutting-edge health technology to help realize Philips’ ambitious goals. You will be part of a broader Innovation Management team of 80 experts in Sustainability, Innovation, Supply Chain, and Operations.

You work closely with businesses and functions, to reach for world class innovation practices into every aspect of the business. An AI practitioner, you bring data and AI innovations into your assignments and into the development of new tools for our team. You will gain experience across various businesses, build a large network, and participate in diverse projects to grow and utilize your talents. Next to that you contribute and participate in acquisition and competence management activities of the Consulting team. You work in a hybrid model, at the offices in NL (min 3d/wk in Amsterdam, Drachten and the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven) with a home base in Eindhoven at the High Tech Campus.

Minimum required Experience:

Minimum 2 years of experience with Bachelor's in areas such as Portfolio Management, Innovation Management, Project and Program Management or equivalent OR no prior experience required with master's degree.

Your Role

  • Participate in innovation projects together with subject matter experts in areas including innovation strategy, portfolio management, evaluating new business options, value proposition and business case creation and shaping value and cost innovations for existing product lines.
  • Drive innovation analysis activities by conducting in-depth assessments of trends, competitive landscapes, current performance and emerging technologies within the MedTech field.
  • Contribute to process improvement efforts aimed at enhancing innovation effectiveness and outcomes.
  • Generate actionable insights and recommendations to inform strategic decision making.
  • Collaborate with project leaders to develop project plans and budgets that align with organizational goals and client needs.
  • Report on project deliverables to stakeholders and the internal team.
  • Establish and maintain an operational network to support projects/areas you're involved in.
  • Support consulting organization with internal processes and team activities.

You're the right fit if

  • You have a master’s degree in an innovation, biomedical science or related discipline and outstanding scholarly results, supplemented with extra-curricular activities
  • You have 1-2 years of experience in delivering complex projects aimed at enhancing innovation effectiveness and outcomes.
  • You have foundational knowledge and a passion for the broader innovation domain: Design Thinking, Innovation Strategy, Product Marketing, Innovation culture and capability
  • You have experience in working directly with clients.
  • You bring a collaborative and fast learner mindset, eager to pick up and apply new approaches and tools to solve complex problems.
  • You are an excellent communicator and presenter.
  • You have advanced skills in using Excel, PowerPoint, data & analytics, and visualization tools
  • You are comfortable using and explaining AI tools and can preferably apply AI tools in real workflows or business problems.

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.

Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
