eBay's Emerging Markets team promotes global commerce across over 170 countries, focusing on cross-border trade from High Potential (HiPo) countries. Must Have
- More than 8 years of collective experience in leading all aspects of categories, merchandising, or business growth within the fashion industry (including luxury).
- At least 4 years of experience in the European market, with a deep understanding of local trends, seller dynamics, and consumer behaviors.
- Strong analytical skills for decision-making and optimizing performance.
- Proven ability to identify growth opportunities, develop strategic roadmaps, and drive execution.
- Experience in working with top sellers and key marketplace partners, ensuring balanced business success.
- Excellent communication, collaborator management, and problem-solving skills.
- Passion for fashion, e-commerce, and the evolving landscape of online retail with proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

About the role and the team
eBay's Emerging Markets team covers an extensive area comprising more than 170 countries, promoting global commerce with an emphasis on international sales and purchases. Our efforts boost cross-border trade from key High Potential (HiPo) countries such as Lithuania, Latvia, Bulgaria, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine, Israel, The Czech Republic, etc as well as India, and South East Asian countries.
Looking for a proactive business leader to grow our fashion category in HiPo (High Potential) Markets, including managing sellers from diverse countries as well developing new sub categories from these countries.
We need an experienced, data-driven Fashion Category and Account Manager to boost growth and innovation for eBay's Fashion business in the HiPo region. An ideal candidate will demonstrate a robust fashion background, particularly in luxury, and specialized experience in category management within the European sector for a minimum of four years. This position demands analytical skills, seller-focused creativity, and strategic vision to improve category performance and foster balanced growth.

What you will accomplish
- Category Management: Bring category and market expertise to identify and exploit opportunities and help set the strategy and vision for the category
- Account Management – Develop positive relationships with strategic sellers and brands within the portfolio which is vital to source right selection through setting seller success plans to support account growth as well as recruit new sellers to the platform
- Business Development - Work on diverse initiatives ranging from crafting acquisition plan for luxury business in important Central and East European countries
- Seller Emphasis: Emphasize understanding the needs, addressing problem areas, behaviors, and preferences of clients (including purchasers and vendors) in the Fashion sectors.
- Ecosystem development – Drive business enablers through partners for shipping, catalog services etc, to bring out efficient value from the market.
- Planning: Supervising and reporting on the performance and growth of their categories on a weekly and monthly basis with the team. Review growth plans, progress and any changes in strategic direction with senior leadership at a regular interval.
