Job Summary
Join eBay's global finance organization as a Financial Analyst, supporting key decisions that drive growth, efficiency, and innovation. This role involves monthly/quarterly forecasting, annual budgeting, and long-range planning. You will prepare consolidated summaries, build presentations for executive reviews, and support quarterly financial close processes. The position requires cross-functional collaboration with various finance departments and a continuous focus on automating and streamlining financial operations to increase efficiency.
Must Have
- Support monthly/quarterly forecasting, external guidance, annual budgeting, and long-range planning processes.
- Prepare consolidated summaries comparing actual results to budget and forecast, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Build presentations for monthly/quarterly forecast reviews, Investor Relations, and Board of Director’s meetings.
- Support quarterly financial close processes, including consolidation and presentation of results.
- Perform variance analysis and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Partner with Global Markets Experience finance, Controllership, and Investor Relations teams.
- Continuously find opportunities to automate and streamline financial processes.
- Reduce cycle time and increase efficiency in operational planning.
- Dedication to our Hybrid Model working 3 days a week out of either our San Jose, CA office or our Austin, TX office.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.

As a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team member, you’ll work cross-functionally to support key decisions impacting eBay’s growth, efficiency, and innovation. This role reports directly to FP&A leadership and works with executive stakeholders across the organization.
What You Will Accomplish:
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Support monthly/quarterly forecasting, external guidance, annual budgeting, and long-range planning processes.
- Reporting and analysis:
- Prepare consolidated summaries that compare actual results to budget and forecast, highlighting any key trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Build presentations for monthly and quarterly forecast reviews, Investor Relations meetings, Board of Director’s meetings, and other key meetings.
- Financial closing:
- Support quarterly financial close processes, including consolidation and presentation of close results.
- Perform variance analysis and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Partner with other various finance departments, such as the Global Markets Experience finance team, Controllership team, and the Investor Relations team.
- Operational improvement:
- Continuously find opportunities to automate and streamline financial processes.
- Reduce cycle time and increase efficiency in operational planning.
What You Will Bring:
- Dedication to our Hybrid Model working 3 days a week out of either our San Jose, CA office or our Austin, TX office.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, financial modeling, and Powerpoint/Google Slides.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Experience with reporting tools like SAP, Anaplan, Tableau, or SQL is a plus.
The applicable base pay range for this position is dependent on work location. The base pay range in the San Francisco Bay Area, New York City Metro and Seattle Metro is expected in the range below:
$104,400 - $139,400
The base pay range for all other U.S. work locations is expected in the range below:
$70,000 - $120,700
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
