Job Summary

This summer internship at CME Group's US Client Development & Sales (CD&S) Division involves supporting global sales efforts and client relationship management. The intern will assist with CRM tool updates, research projects for customer segments, data analysis for sales support, and other ad hoc tasks, while developing an understanding of key customers and products within the derivatives industry.

Must Have

  • Currently pursuing BA/BS, majoring in finance or economics

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Inquisitive and self-motivated to learn about the derivatives industry

Job Description

is currently looking for a summer intern to assist the US Client Development & Sales (CD&S) Division. CD&S is the front-line of customer interaction at the Exchange, focusing sales efforts globally & managing relationships with its clients across all customer segments and products. The CD&S intern will be responsible for supporting the ongoing work of the CD&S team in these areas:

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Assist with input updates to internal CRM tool, creation of reports
  • Assist in research projects for customer segment teams
  • Assist in data analysis projects for sales support
  • Assist in other ad hoc projects
  • Develop understanding of key customers and products at the company

Skills / Software Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing BA/BS, majoring in finance, economics
  • Prior work experience or leadership roles in extra-curricular activities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) with emphasis on Excel
  • Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Inquisitive individual who is self-motivated to learn more about the derivatives industry

The company is committed to offering a competitive pay package for our employee interns. The pay range typically applicable to our intern roles is $23.17--$38.65. Actual pay offered will be dependent on a wide array of factors including but not limited to: relevant experience, skills, education, location of the internship, and the internship area of focus.
