Job Summary
The Contract Facilities Assistant at Proofpoint will report to the Manager, Real Estate & Workplace Services, focusing on maintaining the overall appearance of the Draper, Utah office and surrounding grounds. Key responsibilities include supporting office moves, managing JIRA service tickets for the Draper campus, and ensuring employee safety, asset security, and building aesthetics. This part-time role involves daily light maintenance, custodial tasks, and managing break room and conference room functions, working closely with the Office Manager.
Must Have
- Perform various light building maintenance and custodial tasks.
- Maintain break room functions and appearances.
- Maintain conference room functions and appearances.
- Perform regular systematic inspections of building grounds and buildings.
- Complete duties as requested via JIRA ticket system in a timely manner.
- Assists with departmental and employee moves.
- Dismantles and installs furniture.
- Receive deliveries and put away items in closets.
- Performs immediate cleaning duties necessary to maintain clean facility.
- Effectively communicate (oral and written) with all employees, contractors, and vendors.
- Self-starter and team player.
- Organized and provide deliverables in support of project plans under time constraints, without direct supervision.
- Ability to multi-task effectively and prioritize workload.
- Superior customer service skills and orientation.
- Sound troubleshooting skills and the capacity to fully resolve problems.
- Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, and against strict time constraints.
- Ability to use standard powered and non-powered tools.
- Basic Microsoft office and computer skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.
- Be able to walk, bend, stoop, balance, crawl and reach for extended periods of time.
- Able to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Comfortable and able to work on a ladder up to 25 feet.
- Able to work independently without direct supervision.

Job Description
The Contract Facilities Assistant will report directly to the Manager, Real Estate & Workplace Services, and will hold a number of responsibilities within the Draper, Utah Office. Primary role includes maintaining overall appearances of the office environment and surrounding grounds, supporting office moves, adds or changes and completing JIRA service tickets as assigned for the Draper campus. Additionally, the Facilities Assistant will assess and consider daily 1) the safety of our employees, 2) the security of our assets 3) the service to our employees and 4) the aesthetics of our buildings. Partners with the Office Manager with all day-to-day functions.
Daily functions:
- Perform various light building maintenance and custodial tasks
- Maintain break room functions and appearances, working with suppliers to ensure they are stocked appropriately, and equipment is functioning properly
- Maintain conference room functions and appearances.
- Perform regular systematic inspections of building grounds and buildings.
- Complete duties as requested via JIRA ticket system in a timely manner.
- Attention to safety, cleanliness, and the day-to-day efficient functioning of the general office environment.
- Assists with departmental and employee moves
- Dismantles and installs furniture
- Receive deliveries and put away items in closets
- Performs immediate cleaning duties necessary to maintain clean facility Fills in at reception when needed.
- Performs other maintenance duties as assigned by Manager.

- Must be able to effectively communicate (oral and written) with all employees, contractors, and vendors
- Self-starter and team player
- Must be organized and provide deliverables in support of project plans under time constraints, without direct supervision
