Job Summary
The UPW/WWT Technician at Micron Technology's semiconductor manufacturing plant is responsible for the maintenance, inspection, and repair of ultra-pure water and wastewater treatment facilities and instruments to ensure safe and stable operation. This role also involves troubleshooting and implementing improvement activities, focusing on equipment maintenance, safety management, operational efficiency, and environmental impact reduction.
Must Have
- Perform regular inspection and maintenance of mechanical equipment, piping, and electrical systems
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment failures
- Conduct risk assessments (JHA/PTP) before work
- Comply with PPE usage and Lockout/Tagout (CoHe)
- Handle chemical substances and waste liquids
- Monitor equipment operating status and improve efficiency and cost
- Implement energy reduction and environmental load reduction initiatives
- Record maintenance history and prepare reports
- Share defects and improvement proposals
- Coordinate with external contractors for construction and repairs
- Confirm work standards and procedures
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and chemical equipment
- Understanding of safety, health, and environmental laws and regulations
- Troubleshooting skills and ability to propose improvements
- Teamwork and communication skills
- Basic PC operations (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

This role also involves troubleshooting and implementing improvement activities.
Main Job Contents
Equipment Maintenance and Repair
- Regular inspection and maintenance of mechanical equipment, piping, and electrical systems
- Troubleshooting and repair in case of failure
Safety Management
- Conducting risk assessments (JHA/PTP) before work
- Wearing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and complying with Lockout/Tagout (CoHe)
- Handling chemical substances and waste liquids
Operation and Improvement
- Monitoring equipment operating status and improving efficiency and cost
- Initiatives for energy reduction and environmental load reduction
Record and Report
- Recording maintenance history and preparing reports
- Sharing defects and improvement proposals
Collaboration with Partner Companies
- Coordination with external contractors for construction and repairs
- Confirmation of work standards and procedures
Required Skills and Qualifications
