Job Summary

Proofpoint is looking for a Sales Engineer to serve as the technical sales lead throughout the pre-sales process, reporting to the Manager Technical Sales for META. This role involves leading technical discussions with customers and prospects, aligned with the Polish sales organization. Key responsibilities include becoming an expert in the Human & Agent-centric Security Platform, collaborating with Account Managers on penetration strategies, designing security solutions, building customer relationships, and providing product feedback.

Must Have

  • Hands-on experience in a customer-facing technical role (Sales Engineer, Technical Account Manager, Security Engineer, senior product support, or professional services), preferably in cybersecurity.
  • Proven experience in enterprise collaboration solutions, advanced persistent threats/secops, data security, network, or cloud infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, comfortable presenting to technical staff and C-suite executives.
  • Proactive, independent, adaptable, and positive attitude.
  • Fluency in English and Polish.

  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • CISSP or other security industry certification

The Role:

Proofpoint is seeking a Sales Engineer to join our team and act as the technical sales lead throughout the pre-sales process. This position will report to Manager Technical Sales for META and will lead the technical discussions with customers and prospects. You’ll be aligned to the Polish sales organisation.

Your Day To Day

  • You will become an expert in the Human & Agent-centric Security Platform, specifically Collaboration Security, Data Protection, Security Awareness and Governance
  • Collaborate with the Polish Named Account Managers (AM’s) to develop and execute targeted account penetration strategies, and own associated the technical sales process - including discovery, proposals, presentations, demonstrations and proof of concept
  • Design and champion Human & Agent-Centric Security solutions (including integration with 3rd party products) to yield the technical win and demonstrate business value
  • Proactively build genuine relationships, credibility and trust with existing customers outside the sales cycle to encourage adoption and identify potential pipeline. Includes threat updates, Customer Business Reviews (CBR’s), roadmap updates, etc.
  • Provide valuable customer insight and real-world feedback to Product Management, Marketing and Product Development (Engineering) teams to help keep our solutions as the best in class.
  • Present at or attend industry events and/or trade shows when required

Qualifications

  • Required: Hands-on experience in a customer facing technical role, either as a Sales Engineer, Technical Account Manager, Security Engineer or senior level product support or professional services, preferably in the cyber-security industry
  • Required: Proven experience in either enterprise collaboration solutions (e.g. email), advanced persistent threats / secops, data security, network or cloud infrastructure
  • Required: Excellent communication and presentation skills, comfortable presenting to individuals and/or teams including technical staff and C-suite executives
  • Required: You are proactive, can work independently, adapt quickly and maintain a positive attitude
  • Required: Fluency in English and Polish.
  • Preferred: Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Preferred: CISSP or other security industry certification
