Job Description

This role is primarily responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of contracts within the company, supporting the Procurement department's goals to reduce costs and mitigate business risks. Reporting to the Senior Director of Procurement, the Contracts Manager ensures correct contract execution, identifies and mitigates risks, and serves as the main point of contact between procurement, business departments, and external vendors/clients to ensure compliance and performance.

Must Have:
  • Support development and execution of contractual documents (NDAs, MSAs, SOWs).
  • Manage complete contract lifecycle from initiation through execution and renewal.
  • Identify and flag critical contract terms, including indemnification and liability provisions.
  • Provide clear recommendations on contract terms and business implications.
  • Build and maintain close relationships with business departments and vendor partners.
  • Communicate and educate on current procurement policies and procedures.
  • Develop cost reduction strategies and lead negotiations for fees and rates.
  • Manage req to PO process for assigned commodities.
  • Maintain and manage the contract database.
  • Extensive knowledge of contract administration and procurement principles.
  • Demonstrable experience in drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and redlining contracts.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and set priorities for time-bound deliverables.
  • Exceptional analytic, organization, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated collaboration, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or similar.
  • 6+ years of procurement and/or comprehensive contract management experience.
  • Proven track record working with diverse contract types in a corporate environment.
  • Experience with vendor agreements, technology contracts, and procurement arrangements.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, DocuSign, and contract management systems.

The primary responsibility of this role will play a key part in managing the lifecycle of contracts across the company and support the Procurement department's objective to implement procurement strategies to reduce cost and mitigate risk for the business. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Procurement, this position will be responsible for ensuring that all contracts are executed correctly and risks are identified and mitigated. You will act as the main point of contact between procurement, business departments, and external vendors / clients ensuring compliance and performance are achieved across all contracts.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of contractual documents including Non-Disclosure, Master Service Agreements, Statements of Work and other agreements as necessary to support Vendor, Client Partnerships and business needs.
  • Manage complete contract lifecycle from initiation through execution and renewal, ensuring all necessary approvals are obtained in a timely manner.
  • Identify and flag critical terms including indemnification clauses, liability provisions, and risk factors.
  • Provide clear recommendations on contract terms and business implications.
  • Build and maintain close relationships with business departments and vendor partners to deliver comprehensive and cross-enterprise process improvement solutions.
  • Communicate and educate business departments and vendors on current procurement policies and procedures
  • Develop strategies for cost reduction and lead negotiations of all fees, rates, subsidies and any other associated costs.
  • Manage req to PO process for assigned commodities.
  • Maintain and manage the contract database, ensuring all contracts are accurately recorded, updated, and easily accessible.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Extensive knowledge of the principles, practices and procedures contract administration and procurement, laws and contract funding procedures and requirements.
  • Demonstrable experience in drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and redlining contracts.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks of varying complexities and successfully set priorities for meeting time-bound deliverables
  • Exceptional analytic, organization, presentation and interpersonal skills with applied solid judgement and strategic thinking
  • Demonstrated collaboration, communication (written and verbal) and influencing skills
  • Demonstrated negotiation experience
  • Strong knowledge of contract process
  • Strong excel skills with the ability to manipulate data
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or similar (required)
  • 6+ years of procurement and/or comprehensive contract management experience.
  • Certified professional purchasing certification a plus.
  • Proven track record working with diverse contract types in corporate environment
  • Experience with vendor agreements, technology contracts, and procurement arrangements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, DocuSign, and contract management systems; ERP and risk analysis tool experience a plus.
