Job Summary
The Senior Network Engineer will be the technical authority for the network layer in a cloud-first enterprise, responsible for architecting, implementing, and optimizing core network services across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. This role involves leading strategy and execution for F5 load balancing, next-generation firewalls (Palo Alto, FortiGate), and cloud interconnect design to ensure scalability, high availability, performance, and security. The engineer will also focus on automating infrastructure using tools like Python, Ansible, or Terraform.
Must Have
- Design and optimize cloud-native network architectures across AWS, Azure, GCP.
- Engineer multi-cloud connectivity for high-performance, redundant global networks.
- Manage F5 in the cloud (BIG-IP VE / NGINX / Distributed Cloud).
- Lead firewall strategy across Palo Alto and Fortinet FortiGate.
- Architect and secure VPCs, VNets, and shared service models.
- Integrate Cisco virtual appliances and cloud-native routing solutions.
- Automate deployments using Python, Ansible, or Terraform.
- Monitor and optimize performance across hybrid and multi-cloud networks.
- Lead incident response and root cause analysis for network issues.
- Collaborate with Cloud, Security, and DevOps teams.
- 7+ years in network engineering, with 3+ years in cloud networking.
- Deep hands-on expertise with Azure networking components.
- Strong experience with AWS and GCP networking components.
- Master-level skills in F5 BIG-IP VE, NGINX, or F5 Distributed Cloud.
- Proven experience managing Palo Alto and FortiGate in cloud.
- Advanced routing and security knowledge (BGP, IPSec, GRE, NAT, segmentation).
- Scripting and automation skills (Python, Ansible, Terraform).
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in operating systems and common applications.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent working knowledge of networking concepts.
- 4+ years hands-on experience with next-gen firewalls and F5 load balancers.
- Experience with Networking TCP/IP stack and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Windows OS, PowerShell, YAML, JSON, XML.
- Experience with Windows IIS Services and troubleshooting applications.
- Experience with Linux/Tomcat/Apache systems and troubleshooting applications.
- Experience with .Net, Cold Fusion, and Java runtime platforms.
- Experience with Terraform, Chef, Ansible, or Puppet.
- Experience with Docker and container technologies.
- Experience with Azure Cloud and public cloud platforms.

Job Description
Our Sr. Cloud Engineer will serve as the technical authority for the network layer of a modern, cloud-first enterprise. In this role, you’ll architect, implement, and optimize core network services across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. You will lead strategy and execution around F5 load balancing, next-generation firewalling (Palo Alto and FortiGate), and cloud interconnect design to ensure scalability, high availability, seamless performance, and uncompromising security.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and optimize cloud-native network architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Engineer multi-cloud connectivity — Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, and Interconnect — for high-performance, redundant global networks.
- Own F5 in the cloud (BIG-IP VE / NGINX / Distributed Cloud) for advanced load balancing, traffic management, and security.
- Lead firewall strategy across Palo Alto (Panorama, GlobalProtect) and Fortinet FortiGate for segmentation, VPNs, and advanced threat protection.
- Architect and secure VPCs, VNets, and shared service models — routing, peering, NAT, and private connectivity.
- Integrate Cisco virtual appliances and cloud-native routing solutions for scalable, secure interconnectivity.
- Automate everything — leverage Python, Ansible, or Terraform to enforce consistency and speed up deployments.
- Monitor and optimize performance across hybrid and multi-cloud networks using advanced observability and telemetry tools.
- Lead incident response and root cause analysis for complex network or connectivity issues.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Cloud, Security, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration and security alignment.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- 7+ years of experience in network engineering, with 3+ years focused on cloud networking.
- Deep hands-on expertise with Azure (VNets, NSGs, Front Door, peering, route tables, Private DNS).
- Strong experience with AWS (VPCs, Transit Gateway, Route 53) and GCP (VPCs, Interconnect, Cloud DNS) .
- Master-level skills in F5 BIG-IP VE, NGINX, or F5 Distributed Cloud.
- Proven experience managing Palo Alto and FortiGate in cloud deployments.
- Advanced routing and security knowledge — BGP, IPSec, GRE, NAT, segmentation, and high-availability designs.
- Scripting and automation skills (Python, Ansible, Terraform) — you treat infrastructure as code.
- Performance and reliability mindset — you know how to design for scale and uptime.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent years of experience.
- Proficiency in operating systems and common applications.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent working knowledge of networking concepts.
- Strong technical knowledge with 4+ years hands-on experience in the following technologies:
- Next gen firewalls
- F5 load balancer
- Networking TCP/IP stack and troubleshooting
- Windows (OS, services, registry, GPO, access controls, Domain, etc..)
- PowerShell, YAML, JSON, XML, Python, or similar scripting languages
- Windows IIS Services and experience troubleshooting applications running on that platform.
- Linux/Tomcat/Apache based systems, and experience troubleshooting applications running on that platform.
- Experience with .Net, Cold Fusion, and Java runtime platforms.
- Terraform, Chef, Ansible or Puppet
- Docker \Container’s technologies
- Azure Cloud (AWS equivalent a plus)
- Must have experience delivering PaaS services in public cloud.
- Required experience with Public Cloud platform using Microsoft Azure and/or commercial cloud platform.
- Must have excellent written and oral communications, including technical documents, and process documents.
- Ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely.
