Job Description

The Cost Financial Analyst will be responsible for forecasting variances, manufacturing spending, and preparing analytical reports for management. Responsibilities include analyzing financial data, developing revenue and cost analyses, forecasting manufacturing spending, and developing reports to monitor business drivers. The analyst will also assist with ad hoc projects, improve system processes, and support the development of budgets and forecasts. This role requires strong analytical skills, experience with financial software systems, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Cost Financial Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION 

  • The Cost Financial Analyst will be responsible for forecasting variances, manufacturing spending and preparing analytical reports for management. The responsibilities include:
  • Hands-on ability to accurately build, analyze, interpret financial data and clearly articulate findings under tight deadlines
  • Develop revenue, manufacturing cost and gross margin analyses and reports by using standard cost
  • Forecast variance accounts and analyze actual variances
  • Forecast manufacturing spending accounts using drivers
  • Excellent financial and analytical skills with demonstrated ability to quickly work through, organize and manage large sets of data
  • Develop analytical reports to monitor drivers of the business
  • Assist with ad hoc revenue and cost projects and financial reports as needed
  • Independently improve Oracle system processes and automate reconciliation and manual processes
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting the development of budgets and forecasts or other related financial data
  • Forecast R&D spending accounts
  • Responsible for certain components of worldwide revenue close
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a can-do attitude, willingness to learn, and a high emphasis on teamwork and collaboration
  • Assist with ad hoc revenue and cost projects and financial reports as needed

WORK REQUIREMENTS

  • BA Accounting plus 5+ years of related accounting experience
  • Public Accounting a plus
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Semiconductor experience preferred
  • Present strong problem solving, analytical, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize workload effectively and independently
  • Present strong computer skills, such as advanced working knowledge of Excel
  • Hands-on experience with an enterprise-level financial software system, such as Oracle
  • Showing competencies in taking initiative, working independently or as part of a team and meeting tight deadlines

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, qualifications, and work location. The range displayed on the job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position in California. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
