This Director, Sourcing Management role involves overseeing direct and indirect sourcing and procurements. Develop OSAT sourcing strategy for assembly, lead frame, mold compound, and tooling vendors.
Negotiate assembly and package pricing to achieve or improve cost roadmap.
Partner with PI engineers and suppliers’ engineers to drive cost down through value engineering efforts.
Develop, maintain, and own a cost roadmap database for all PI costs.
Work with Product definition team to develop financial models for new products.
Collaborate with NPI team for supplier identification, evaluation, design rule, and RFQ.
Support all administrative aspects of the sourcing function.
Organize, prepare, and run quarterly business reviews with fabs and assembly suppliers.
Extensive experience in semiconductor package design and assembly.
Strong communication skills at the executive level.
Strong experience conducting business in Asia.
Strong analytical skills.
Outstanding negotiation skills.
Business savviness.
BS or MS in materials science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or chemical engineering.
