In The Pocket is an independent European digital product studio seeking an experienced professional to establish and grow its Dutch operations as Country Lead. This role involves full commercial responsibility, including sales, marketing, and account management, with the opportunity for co-ownership in the local entity. The Country Lead will define market strategy, drive business development, build a local team, and engage with senior decision-makers to shape digital strategies with technological innovation and AI.
Must Have:
  • Define the approach for entering and expanding within the Dutch market.
  • Leverage your network to identify and pursue growth opportunities, oversee sales activities, and manage client relationships.
  • Recruit, lead, and develop your local team, fostering a collaborative and outcome-oriented culture.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment on objectives.
  • Take on real equity in the Dutch entity, sharing both in its responsibilities and rewards.
  • 7+ years in a digital agency, IT-consulting, or similar environment, with exposure to end-to-end client engagements.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on problem-solving in a fast-paced setting.
  • Established relationships in the Dutch market, particularly in the digital or technology sectors.
  • Proven track record of building and managing teams, including motivating and mentoring talent.
  • Comfort in pitching to senior-level stakeholders and shaping long-term partnerships.
  • Familiarity with current digital and technological trends, as well as product development processes and deep understanding of AI.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.

In this role, you will take on full commercial responsibility—covering sales, marketing, and account management—and have the opportunity to become a co-owner in our local entity. You’ll connect and engage with senior decision-makers, helping them shape their digital strategies by matching business needs & goals with technological innovation, client expectations, and the possibilities of AI.

What will you do?

Who you are?

  • Digital Agency Background: 7+ years in a digital agency, IT-consulting, or similar environment, with exposure to end-to-end client engagements.
  • Entrepreneurial Drive: Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on problem-solving in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong Network: Established relationships in the Dutch market, particularly in the digital or technology sectors.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven track record of building and managing teams, including motivating and mentoring talent.
  • Sales & Account Management Skills: Comfort in pitching to senior-level stakeholders and shaping long-term partnerships.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with current digital and technological trends, as well as product development processes. Deep understanding of the latest developments in AI.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
