Credentialing Specialist

xAI is seeking a Credentialing Specialist to support its security program. This in-person role in Palo Alto, CA, involves independently operating ID badge and credentialing software, creating ID badges, managing access control, and maintaining credentialing databases to ensure only authorized individuals access facilities. The specialist will also maintain site access control procedures and uphold operational security.

Must Have

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 4+ years of experience as a Security Officer
• Proficiency to independently operate ID badge and credentialing software
• Ability to create ID Badges
• Ability to ensure correct access is granted to only authorized individuals
• Ability to maintain and update credentialing databases
• Ability to maintain site access control procedures
• Personal integrity is crucial
• Ability to maintain operational security and safeguard sensitive information

Good to Have

• 2+ years of experience in a badging role
• 2+ years of experience in the military, law enforcement, or emergency response

About the Role

xAI is seeking an engaging and professional security champion to support the ongoing growth of the organization’s security program.

Reporting to the Security Operations Coordinator, the Credentialing Specialist is a dedicated security professional with a demonstrated proficiency to independently operate ID badge and credentialing software. The Credentialing Specialist will be responsible for ensuring only authorized individuals have access to designated components of the facility.

This is an in-person role based in Palo Alto, California.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the specialist for creating ID Badges.
• Ensure correct access is granted to only authorized individuals.
• Maintain and update credentialing databases in a timely manner.
• Maintain site access control procedures.

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 4+ years of experience as a Security Officer.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a badging role.
• 2+ years of experience in the military, law enforcement, or emergency response.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to work for extended periods of time standing, when needed.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Personal integrity is crucial. This position is expected to maintain operational security and safeguard sensitive information.
