Job Description

As a Customer Engineer, you'll empower companies with Google tools, focusing on Chrome Enterprise (Chrome Browser, Chrome OS, and management capabilities). You'll work directly with clients (in Korean), identifying their business and technical needs, developing solutions, and presenting proposals to technology leaders. Responsibilities involve collecting customer feedback, guiding product direction, accelerating the transition to Chrome Enterprise, resolving technical objections, and leading solution evaluations (including proof-of-concept facilitation). This role requires strong communication, presentation, and technical skills to successfully implement complete solutions and manage device deployments.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years pre-sales engineering experience
  • Experience with managed endpoints and browser-based applications
  • Experience with EMM/MDM solutions
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Korean language proficiency
Good to have:
  • Experience with Public Cloud (GCP)
  • Experience architecting software deployment
  • Familiarity with Android and Chrome OS
  • Experience handling localization issues (Korean IME, keyboard mapping)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience working in a pre-sales engineer or similar partner facing role, including working as a member of a professional services or systems engineering team.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with managed endpoint devices (e.g., PC or mobile) and the growing ecosystem of browser-based applications and collaboration tools.
  • Experience with Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM)/Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions (e.g., Intune, AirWatch, MobileIron, Jamf, Chrome Enterprise).
  • Experience with solution implementation and use of Public Cloud (e.g., Google Cloud Platform, etc.).
  • Experience architecting and supporting software deployment for enterprises, primarily within Device Management solutions and end user computing.
  • Experience with localization issues handling such as Korean IME, Korean keyboard mapping, and familiarity with Android and Chrome.

As a Customer Engineer, you will equip companies with Google tools to make technology at work more equitable, simple, secure, and shareable so that they may focus resources on areas that matter most. You will inspire leading companies and government agencies to work smarter with cloud or web first strategies through Chrome Enterprise, and take advantage of advanced enterprise capabilities for administrative controls.

This is a customer-facing role that requires interactions in Korean with local stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Identify customers business and technical requirements. Collect, synthesize, and analyze customer feedback to the product teams guiding future product direction.
  • Deliver and devise solution proposals supporting value statements against those needs and bring Google’s innovation into their infrastructures. Confidently present to persuade a technology leadership audience.
  • Work with the Sales team to guide and accelerate the transition of leading companies, partners, and government agencies to Chrome Enterprise, which encompasses Chrome Browser, Chrome OS, and management capabilities.
  • Identify key customer technical objections and develop the strategy to resolve technical impediments. Make recommendations on use cases, integration strategies, security, and device management policies required to successfully implement a complete solution.
  • Lead technical aspects of solution evaluations including product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept facilitation, the coordination of supporting technical resources within Google and our channel.
