Job Summary

In the rapidly growing 'Customer Success & Training' organization, we are looking for a Data Migration Consultant (m/f/d) to advise our customers on system replacement and be responsible for the successful implementation of new software. This role involves analyzing processes, developing data transfer strategies, and managing data migration projects from extraction to the target system, ensuring data quality and developing conversion tools.

Must Have

  • Ensure transfer of existing and movement data to new systems.
  • Analyze processes and develop optimal data transfer strategies.
  • Act as primary contact for data topics and interface between project management, development, trainers, and customers.
  • Guide data from extraction to target system.
  • Responsible for developing and enhancing conversion tools and scripts (C# / .NET, SQL, Delphi, Python).
  • Ensure data quality through technical and professional data clearing.
  • Contribute ideas to standardize and automate migration processes.
  • Proficient in relational databases and SQL.
  • Take responsibility, be communicative, and work in a structured manner.
  • Possess systems thinking, strong process focus, thoroughness, and detail-orientation.
  • Open to learning new and unfamiliar technologies.
  • Good German and English language skills (written and spoken).

Good to Have

  • Knowledge of C#/.NET or Python.
  • Experience in data migration.

About the Role

In the rapidly growing organization for "Customer Success & Training", we are currently looking for a Data Migration Consultant (m/f/d) who will advise our customers on system replacement and be responsible for the successful implementation of the new software.

The position requires no travel (except in exceptional cases), as customers are advised remotely. However, we are looking for our new colleague near our new office location Hürth.

Your Tasks

  • If systems in law firms/notary offices are to be completely or partially replaced, you ensure that existing and transaction data is transferred to the new system.
  • How can customer wishes be taken into account and implemented in accordance with the data household? Together with our customers, you analyze processes and develop optimal strategies for data transfer.
  • Within the framework of independent data migration projects, you are the first point of contact for all data-related issues and act as an interface between project management, development, training instructors, and the customer.
  • You accompany the data from the most suitable data extraction to the target system and are responsible for the new and further development of existing conversion tools and scripts (C# / .NET, SQL, Delphi, Python) and, if necessary, port them to new technologies together with the team.
  • Through your technical and professional clearing of the data, you ensure data quality and ensure that your/our scripts and programs do exactly what they are supposed to do.
  • You contribute ideas to standardize and automate our migration processes.

Your Profile

  • Completed studies or vocational training in (business) informatics, data science, data management or equivalent professional fields – or you bring relevant practical experience.
  • Proficient in relational databases and SQL is a matter of course for you.
  • Knowledge of C#/.NET or Python is a plus, but not mandatory – we support you with training.
  • You like to take responsibility, are communicative and work in a structured manner.
  • Your strengths are systems thinking and a strong process focus. You are also thorough and detail-oriented.
  • You are open to dealing with unknown technologies and enjoy acquiring new knowledge.
  • Experience in data migration is desirable, but not a must.
  • Good German and English language skills, both written and spoken, complete your profile.
