The Deputy Manager is responsible for the commissioning and acceptance of new machines and utilities within agreed timelines. This includes managing project monitoring and coordination with vendors, preparing budgets for capital expenditure, power, water, and maintenance expenses, and tracking expenditures against the budget. The role involves preparing project applications, costing sheets, and monthly reports, as well as managing spare parts and ensuring minimal plant machinery breakdowns. Key responsibilities include maintaining MTBF and MTTR targets, controlling energy consumption, conducting preventive and predictive maintenance, and driving projects to reduce power and maintenance costs. The Deputy Manager will also implement improvement measures based on root cause analysis, track cost-saving activities, and implement Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). They will also be responsible for framing maintenance MIS, TPM, and preventive checklists, ensuring man, machine, and plant safety procedures are followed, and conducting energy audits to maintain power costs. Maintaining ISO 9001 documents is also a part of this role.
