Job Description

The DevOps Engineer is responsible for the design, development, testing, automation, and operation of the infrastructure supporting the company’s solutions, as well as the development process by which those solutions are engineered. DevOps Engineers will work together and with other engineering teams to deliver high quality solutions to clients. This role requires extensive experience in DevOps, System Administration, Network, Application Operations, Linux/Unix, Terraform, AWS services, EKS/EKS-A, CI/CD pipelines, Git/GitLab, scripting, and automation, with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
Must have:
  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
  • Extensive experience in DevOps, System Administration, Network, Application Operations
  • Demonstrated expertise in Linux/Unix
  • Extensive experience with Terraform
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in AWS services and architecture
  • Extensive working experience with EKS/EKS-A
  • Extensive knowledge creating and managing CI/CD pipelines, experience in Git/GitLab
  • Proven knowledge of scripting and automation
  • Excellent language skills in written and spoken English
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience
Good to have:
  • AWS certificates would be a plus

Job Details

The DevOps Engineer is responsible for the design, development, testing, automation, and operation of the infrastructure supporting the company’s solutions, as well as the development process by which those solutions are engineered. DevOps Engineers will work together and with other engineering teams to deliver high quality solutions to clients.

Please note this role shift will be 11am-7pm.

  • Develop and advocate standards and practices.
  • Work with other architects to gather requirements and design solutions for new projects.
  • Work with engineering teams to create development processes for new projects.
  • Identify, prescribe solutions and implement remediation as required by InfoSec findings.
  • Advise and mentor engineers across teams, advocating standards and practices.
  • Maintain infrastructure, repair bugs, and respond to downtime in accordance with business continuity plan.
  • Provide support for software engineering teams.
  • Conduct all business in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned.

What we expect:

This position can be located in Toronto, and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment (at least 2 days a week in office, subject to change), providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
