Job Summary
Sledgehammer Games is seeking a Dialogue Designer to contribute to a new AAA audio experience for their next project. The role involves editing, designing, and processing dialogue assets, collaborating with narrative teams, and implementing dialogue using proprietary tools. Candidates should have experience in game audio development and knowledge of dialogue pipelines and systems.
Must Have
- Edit, design and process dialogue assets for all aspects of our game.
- Collaborate with Dialogue and Narrative Teams, ensuring excellent inter-departmental communication.
- Interactive and linear dialogue design.
- Dialogue asset implementation using proprietary tools.
- Apply studio and departmental standard methodologies of dialogue workflows and systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of various aspects of game dialogue.
- Minimum three years of experience in game audio development.
- Shipped one major title.
- Understanding of PS5, XBOX Series X, and PC audio functionality, capabilities, and limitations.
- Experience with at least one major digital audio workstations.
- Experience with middleware programs such as Wwise and Fmod.
Good to Have
- FPS/Multi-player experience.
- Audio scripting experience.
- Continuing Education Certificate, Professional or advanced degree in programming, audio engineering, or similar.

Your Mission
Sledgehammer Games is looking for a Dialogue Designer to help create a fresh new AAA aural experience for our next project. Candidates should be versed in dialog editing and processing techniques and have a general knowledge of dialog pipelines. You will report to our Dialogue Director and help ensure delivery of the highest quality dialog with the use of internally developed proprietary tools.
- Edit, design and process dialogue assets for all aspects of our game.
- Collaborate with the Dialogue and Narrative Teams, ensuring excellent inter-departmental communication and alignment of goals.
- Interactive and linear dialogue design.
- Dialogue asset implementation using proprietary tools.
- Apply studio and departmental standard methodologies of dialogue workflows and systems.
- Inspire teamwork and collaboration inside and outside the Audio Dept.
Player Profile
- Demonstrated knowledge of various aspects of game dialogue.
- Some knowledge of both linear and interactive dialogue systems.
- Minimum three years of experience in game audio development.
- Shipped one major title.
- Understanding of PS5, XBOX Series X, and PC audio functionality, capabilities, and limitations.
- Experience with at least one major digital audio workstations.
- Experience with middleware programs such as Wwise and Fmod.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Exceptional organization skills.
- College degree preferred.
- Individual contributor with at least 5+ years experience or combination with College degree.
