Job Summary

As an Outsourcing Manager at CD PROJEKT RED, you will lead collaboration with external development partners across various disciplines like art, design, engineering, and QA, ensuring work meets business standards. You will manage communication, align expectations, and oversee business terms between internal teams and external studios. The role involves project management, vendor relations, and creative coordination, and includes leading a team of outsourcing specialists while evolving tools and procedures for co-development.

Must Have

  • Strong communication, coordination, organizational, and negotiation skills.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and ability to build trust.

Job Description

As an Outsourcing Manager, you will play a key role in driving collaboration between CD PROJEKT RED and our external development partners. You’ll ensure that outsourced work - across disciplines such as art, design, engineering, and QA - meets our business standards.

You’ll act as the bridge between internal teams and external studios, managing communication, aligning expectations, and overseeing business terms. This role combines project management, vendor relations, and creative coordination - perfect for someone who thrives in dynamic, cross-functional environments and understands the unique challenges of AAA game co-development.

Additionally, you will lead a team of outsourcing specialists, driving excellence in collaboration practices across the studio. You’ll also be responsible for evolving the tools, systems, policies, and procedures that support daily operations within the outsourcing and co-dev area.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate day-to-day collaboration with external development partners across multiple disciplines (art, animation, design, programming, QA, audio, etc.).
  • Define outsourcing strategies in alignment with project goals and production plans.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with external studios, ensuring mutual understanding of goals, deliverables, and production standards.
  • Collaborate closely with internal producers, team leads, and directors to identify outsourcing needs and capacity gaps.
  • Supervise the quality of outsourced work - including milestone reviews, feedback loops, and approvals.
  • Support contract management and resource forecasting in cooperation with the production and business teams.
  • Negotiate business terms and agreements with external partners in collaboration with the production and business teams.
  • Identify risks and dependencies related to external development and proactively mitigate them.
  • Foster efficient communication channels and continuous improvement of co-dev processes.
  • Design, implement, and maintain effective tools, systems, workflows, and operational policies that enhance daily collaboration between internal and external teams.
  • Drive process optimization and documentation to ensure scalability and efficiency in outsourcing operations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in game development, including at least 2 years in production, outsourcing, or co-development leadership.
  • Background in vendor management or business aspects of outsourcing.
  • Solid understanding of production pipelines for at least one of the following: art, design, or programming (ideally more than one).
  • Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple external partners simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational and negotiation abilities.
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and the ability to build trust-based relationships.
  • Nice to have: Experience working with production tools such as Jira, Miro or equivalent.
  • Drive process optimization and documentation to ensure scalability and efficiency in outsourcing operations.

Working Mode

You can choose whether you prefer an Office-First setup (working mainly from our Warsaw, Cracow, or Wroclaw office) or a Remote-First setup and work fully remotely.
