Job Summary
As a Direct Purchasing Engineer for Industrial Projects & Resourcing in the Grenoble region, you will be responsible for optimizing costs, quality, and supplier performance while ensuring supply security. Your missions include identifying and qualifying new suppliers, negotiating commodity agreements with cost transparency, conducting Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) studies, and improving supplier performance through collaborative action plans and audits, as well as various cost reduction initiatives.
Must Have

Job Description
As part of the development of our activities in the Grenoble region, we are recruiting a Direct Purchasing Engineer - Industrial Projects & Resourcing (M/F).
The objective is to optimize costs, quality, and supplier performance while securing supply.
Your missions will be as follows:
Resourcing projects
Identify and qualify new suppliers to replace or complement existing ones (cost reduction, risk diversification, quality improvement)
Implementation of commodity agreements (contracts with cost transparency)
Negotiate framework agreements with suppliers where costs (raw materials, labor, margin) are detailed and indexed (e.g., linked to the price of steel, aluminum).
TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) studies
Analyze the global cost of a purchase over its entire lifecycle (not just the purchase price), including:
Logistics costs, inventory, non-quality, delays, etc.
Supplier performance improvement
Work with suppliers to reduce their costs, improve their quality or delivery times, via collaborative action plans (e.g., lean manufacturing at the supplier), audits (process, quality, CSR).
Various cost reductions
Qualifications
You have excellent interpersonal skills and know how to unite various stakeholders such as buyers, suppliers, and production teams. Your negotiation skills allow you to convince constructively, in a win-win logic and without creating unnecessary tensions.
Endowed with an analytical and synthetic mind, you are able to process complex data and derive concrete and relevant actions from it.
Education and experience:
With an engineering degree (mechanical, industrial, supply chain) or equivalent, you ideally have 2 to 5 years of experience in industrial purchasing, supply chain, or continuous improvement. Experience in supplier negotiation or in a factory environment is a real asset.
Proficiency in English is essential, as exchanges with international suppliers are an integral part of the mission.
