Job Description

The Director Cybersecurity Leader directs, monitors, and evaluates cybersecurity activities, including subordinate leaders and third-party providers. This role ensures tight integration of Cyber Risk & Compliance and Cybersecurity, staying updated with regulatory changes. Key responsibilities include engaging with IT, Engineering, and Legal to embed security in new technologies and products, defining corporate Cybersecurity policies, and managing threat, vulnerability, and incident response. The leader will establish processes for threat reporting, oversee investigations, develop and monitor Cybersecurity metrics, and design strategies to improve safeguards and controls, ensuring security reviews are integrated into all products and systems.

  • Ensures the tight integration and coordination of all aspects of Cyber Risk & Compliance and Cybersecurity.
  • Remains up to date with changing government / regulatory considerations and their impact on technology.
  • Engages with IT, Engineering/Product Development, Legal and other leaders to ensure security considerations underpin decisions.
  • Plays a key role in defining, drafting, validating and implementing corporate Cybersecurity policies and standards.
  • Ensures systems are in place to manage daily and ongoing activities of threat and vulnerability management and incident response.
  • Establishes and oversees repeatable processes and procedures for gathering, assessing and reporting on current and future threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Oversees all aspects of incident, threat or vulnerability investigation, forensic analysis, reporting and, when necessary, litigation and/or prosecution.
  • Develops, executes and monitors Cybersecurity metrics, identifying patterns, trends and areas of concern.
  • Designs and implements strategies and security initiatives to assess and improve virtual, physical, technical and process safeguards and controls.
  • Guarantees security reviews and processes are incorporated into existing and proposed products, platforms, applications and systems.

What success looks like in this role:

  • Remains up to date with changing government / regulatory considerations, including their impact on technology development, marketing, privacy and related matters.
  • Engages with IT, Engineering/Product Development, Legal and other leaders to ensure security considerations underpin decisions about new technology, systems, network and related programs / projects and company product / solution development.
  • Plays a key role in defining, drafting, validating and implementing corporate Cybersecurity policies and standards.
  • Ensures systems are in place to manage daily and ongoing activities of threat and vulnerability management and incident response.
  • Establishes and oversees repeatable processes and procedures for gathering, assessing and reporting on current and future threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Oversees all aspects of incident, threat or vulnerability investigation, forensic analysis, reporting and, when necessary, litigation and/or prosecution through legal means.
  • Develops, executes and monitors Cybersecurity metrics, identifying patterns, trends and areas of concern and ensures widespread understanding and focus.

  • Guarantees security reviews and processes are incorporated into existing and proposed products, platforms, applications and systems.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

BA/BS degree and 8-10 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience Graduate degree preferred 4-6 years’ leadership experience

This role may require access to export-controlled commodities and technology. Therefore, to conform to U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government.
