Your role

As Director Wolters Kluwer Schulinck, you are responsible for formulating, translating, and executing the strategy within the municipal market in the Netherlands and Belgium. You lead an organization of approximately 65-70 FTE, of which 6 direct reports are part of Schulinck's management team (MT). With your MT, you drive innovation, growth, and strengthening customer relationships. The transition from content to software and the integration of AI are essential parts of your strategic course.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Strategy development: Developing and implementing a multi-year strategy, with a focus on software and AI.
• Annual plan and budgeting: P&L responsible and for drawing up the annual business plan and budget, including effective planning and realization.
• Product development and marketing: Selecting, compiling, and marketing legal expert solutions within the social domain and environmental law in the Netherlands and Belgium.
• Innovation: Initiating new online solutions and services, in line with broader innovations within Wolters Kluwer Legal & Regulatory Benelux and in collaboration with the separate internal IT division, named Digital Experience Group (DXG).
• Relationship management: Building and maintaining a strong network with municipal clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders in the municipal market.
• Leadership: Managing the Schulinck management team and ensuring optimal cooperation with the corporate organization of Wolters Kluwer.

Who are you?

You are a decisive and analytical leader with a vision for technological developments. In addition, you bring:

• Academic working and thinking level; a completed study in Business Administration or similar is a plus.
• 8-12 years of experience in a management position where you gained experience with strategic market analyses and developing propositions.
• Demonstrable experience with innovation, product management, software development, and AI.
• Broad knowledge of marketing, sales, content, training, and product development.
• Extensive experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and projects.
• Strong financial skills and numerical insight.
• Decisiveness, analytical ability, and vision on AI.
• Experience with project-based work.
• Knowledge of the municipal market in the Netherlands and Belgium is a strong plus. If this knowledge is not yet present, we expect the willingness to delve into it.
