Job Description

This role at Gameloft Montreal involves working as a Senior 3D Gameplay Animator on Disney Dreamlight Valley, a cross-platform life-sim/adventure game. Responsibilities include creating high-quality animations for stylized characters and creatures, managing animation systems in Unity, resolving technical and artistic animation issues, collaborating with design teams, contributing to tool development and the animation pipeline, ensuring game asset quality, meeting production deadlines, and documenting best practices for the animation team.
Must have:
  • Creating high-quality, visually stunning animations of stylized characters and creatures
  • Taking part in the creation and management of animation systems in the Unity game engine
  • Identifying and helping resolve technical and artistic problems related to animations
  • Collaborating with other team members to ensure that animations accurately meet design objectives
  • Participating actively in the development of tools and technologies, and efficiently contributing to the animation pipeline
  • Overseeing the quality of game assets and making improvements where needed to meet technical constraints and performance objectives
  • Respecting production deadlines and schedules of the project
  • Helping document and communicate workflows and best practices to ensure consistency in the animation team
