Job Summary

This Visual Effects (VFX) Intern position at Disney Live Action and 20th Century Studios involves supporting the VFX department in setting up, budgeting, scheduling, and managing live-action features. The intern will update and modify VFX databases, streamline digital wrap procedures, and visit project post-production offices. Key responsibilities include maintaining a database of facilities, VFX Supervisors, and Producers, creating/updating Show Files, and performing general office tasks like answering phones and scheduling. This is a full-time, onsite internship in Burbank, CA, from June to August 2026.

Must Have

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Understanding of office procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple projects as needed
  • Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
  • Experience working in collaborative environments and managing multiple projects while staying organized under pressure
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university studying Film/Video Production, Communications, Film/Video Production Management, or related
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program
  • Fully available from Monday - Friday, 9am - 6pm PST for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
  • Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Burbank, CA area
  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work

About the Role & Program

This position is for the Visual Effects (VFX) department for both the Disney Live Action and 20th Century Studios group. We set up, budget, schedule and handle the aspects of all the Live Action features.

The VFX Summer intern will help update and modify our various visual effects databases, help as we continue to streamline our digital wrap procedure, and visit project post production offices. The database project(s) include updating current data, as well as adding new fields and functionality.

This internship is a full-time commitment in the Burbank, CA area from June 2026 – August 2026

What You Will Do

  • Maintaining database of facilities, VFX Supervisors, VFX Producers with availability, rates, vendor projects, and types of shows for which each may be appropriately applied
  • Creating and updating Show Files
  • Covering desks when necessary (answering phones, rolling calls, scheduling, etc.)
  • Completing general office tasks (printing, copying, phones, filing, etc.)

Education

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university studying Film/Video Production, Communications, Film/Video Production Management, or related.

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program

Additional Information

  • The approximate dates of this internship are from June 2026 through August 2026
  • Fully available from Monday - Friday, 9am - 6pm PST for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week

The pay rate for this role in California is $22.50 per hour.
