This driver role involves loading, transporting, and delivering items safely and timely to customers, shippers, and stations. Responsibilities include reviewing orders, ensuring item safety, reporting discrepancies, handling cash on delivery payments, adhering to routes, and maintaining a safe driving record.
Must Have
- Loading, transporting, and delivering items to customer, shipper and station in a safe, timely manner.
- Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that names and address are within his coverage area.
- Ensuring all the items that are to be delivered or collected are safe and free from damages.
- To report any discrepancies to Station Head if found.
- Ensure that the names and address on items to be collected or delivered matches the actual person and location in the system.
- Accepting payments for cash on delivery (COD) items if applicable.
- To ensure that the COD collected matches the system.
- Ensuring all COD money collected from customers are handled over to the Station Head/Fleet Assistant on daily basis.
- To call the customer before failing the delivery.
- Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.
- Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.
