Editing Assistant (all gender)

Your Responsibilities

For our fiction, documentary, and show productions, we are immediately looking for a full-time, fixed-term Editing Assistant (all gender).

• Ingest: Check, view, organize and manage image and sound material
• Creation of proxies and provision for editorial
• Creation of dailies & transcriptions
• Original sound pre-processing / pre-cut
• Conversion of various video & audio formats
• Scenic pre-cut for the editorial team
• Conform / Turnover: technical handover of the cut to sound and image departments via exchange formats such as XML, AAF, EDL
• Mastering: Creation of broadcast-ready masters according to technical specifications
• Quality Control: Ensuring technical standards
• Administer storage environments and manage media accompanying data, especially information on copyrights and personal rights
• Research image and sound material in archives and databases and maintain associated lists

Your Profile

• Experience in moving image, editing and design
• Good knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro
• Basic knowledge of Adobe After Effects and Photoshop
• Basic knowledge in color correction/DaVinci Resolve
• Experience with various video formats and codecs as well as post-production workflows
• Experience in (OnSet) data backup & data management is an advantage
• Interest in post-production, photography/camera, sound design, music, design and/or compositing

About us

Since 2012, btf (bildundtonfabrik) has been an independent production company for fiction, show, documentary, games and advertising. From the first idea to the script, post-production and visual FX, we produce everything completely in-house. At our location in Cologne-Ehrenfeld and the associated Studio König and in our Games department in Berlin-Kreuzberg, award-winning shows, series, films, documentaries, video games and advertising for an international audience are created.
