Job Summary

Springer Nature is seeking an Editor (m/f/d) in Berlin for their FUCHSBRIEFE publications. The role involves editorial responsibility for content in politics, economics, finance, and related topics, creating well-founded articles, developing new formats, and actively shaping themes. The ideal candidate will have editorial experience, a strong understanding of economic contexts, and the ability to present complex topics clearly. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Must Have

  • Editorial responsibility for content in FUCHSBRIEFE, FUCHS-Kapital, and FUCHS-Devisen
  • Creation of well-founded articles on politics, economics, finance, taxes, law, and investments
  • Conception and implementation of own formats (e.g., sections, series, special supplements)
  • Quick assumption of responsibility for own topic and product areas, e.g., own supplements
  • Active topic development: setting impulses, ideas for interviews, background discussions, dossiers
  • Participation in press appointments, background rounds, and external events
  • Leadership and further development of the "Briefe" regarding content, relevance, and quality
  • Supervision and coordination of external authors
  • Collaboration on book projects, e.g., "Anlagechancen"

Good to Have

  • Ideally an existing network in politics, business, or finance
  • Openness for multimedia work (audio, video)

Your Responsibilities

  • Editorial responsibility for the content of the three publications FUCHSBRIEFE, FUCHS-Kapital, and FUCHS-Devisen.
  • Creation of well-founded articles on politics, economics, finance, and related topics such as taxes, law, and investments.
  • Conception and implementation of your own formats (e.g., sections, series, special supplements).
  • Quick assumption of responsibility for your own topic and product areas, e.g., your own supplements.
  • Active topic development: setting your own impulses, ideas for interviews, background discussions, dossiers.
  • Participation in press appointments, background rounds, and external events.
  • Leadership and further development of the "Briefe" regarding content, relevance, and quality.
  • Supervision and coordination of external authors.
  • Collaboration on book projects, e.g., Anlagechancen.

Your Profile

  • Editorial experience, ideally in political, economic, or financial journalism.
  • Very good understanding of political and economic contexts as well as capital market and investment topics.
  • Ability to prepare complex topics clearly, concisely, target-group-oriented, and useful.
  • Ideally an existing network in politics, business, or finance.
  • Independent, responsible way of working and a desire to actively shape topics.
  • Confident in dealing with interviews, background discussions, and external partners.
  • Openness for multimedia work (audio, video).

The position is offered in our Berlin office, full-time and permanent.
