Job Summary

The Business Development department at Plarium is crucial for identifying and executing growth opportunities, both organic (e.g., regional expansion, IP collaboration) and non-organic (M&A, publishing, external partnerships). The role involves monitoring industry benchmarks, providing executive insights, and establishing and maintaining platform partnerships for internal studios, thereby supporting their business development and growth projects. This ensures optimal positioning and strategic expansion for Plarium's games across various platforms.

Job Description

The Business Development department is responsible for identifying growth opportunities for the company and plays a pivotal role in executing the company’s strategy and growth Growth occurs organically (e.g., regional or platform expansion, IP collaboration) and non-organically through mergers and acquisitions (M&A), publishing, or other external partnerships that support the business. The department monitors industry benchmarks and trends, providing executives with valuable insight. It establishes and maintains platform partnerships for internal studios, supporting their business development and growth projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Platform Relationship: Oversee business and technical relations with mobile, PC, and emerging platforms (e.g., Apple App Store, Google Play) to ensure optimal positioning and support for Plarium's games.
  • Drive Promotions: Collaborate with platforms and studios to secure opportunities such as promotional features, editorial coverage, special campaigns, and strategic Go-To-Market launches.
  • Identify Opportunities: Lead initiatives leveraging platform technologies for discovery, new monetization, and regional expansion; manage execution.
  • Support Studios & Games: Provide support to studios throughout the entire game lifecycle: conception, global launch, and live service.
  • Ensure Compliance: Guarantee games meet all platform requirements, best practices, policies, guidelines, and technical standards.
  • Monitor Performance: Track game performance on platforms, offering optimization feedback for discoverability, ranking, and user acquisition.
  • Negotiate Partnerships: Secure favorable terms for promotions, exclusive deals, and co-marketing with new and existing platform partners.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay informed on industry trends, platform updates, and competitive landscape; proactively update stakeholders.

What we expect
