Nissan is seeking an Engineering Intern for Summer 2026 to join the Field Quality Investigations team in Smyrna, TN, focusing on Connected Car processes and improvements. This role involves analyzing market data for issues and trends, developing investigation strategies, functioning in a dynamic team, interfacing with stakeholders, and hands-on work with vehicle components to understand system interactions. Good To Have:
  • Mechanical, electrical, or mechatronics preferred (within Engineering degree)
Must Have:
  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate/graduate degree program in Engineering
  • Strong organization ability with keen attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and ability to multi-task with day-to-day priorities
  • Great communication skills both written and oral
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite; Excel, Access, etc.
  • GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Less than 10% travel
  • Ability to perform work onsite at Field Quality Center - Smyrna, TN.

Who We’re Looking for:

  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate/graduate degree program in Engineering- mechanical, electrical, or mechatronics preferred
  • Strong organization ability with keen attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and ability to multi-task with day-to-day priorities
  • Great communication skills both written and oral
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite; Excel, Access, etc.
  • GPA of 3.0 or above (Candidates will be required to provide an official or unofficial transcript during the application process for verification.)
  • Less than 10% travel
  • Ability to perform work onsite at Field Quality Center - Smyrna, TN.
