F15 Site Modeling Engineer

Micron Technology is seeking an F15 Site Modeling Engineer in Higashi Hiroshima-shi, Japan. This role involves driving site and factory modernization through automation, leading projects with ROI analysis, and understanding automation industry trends. Additionally, the engineer will visualize and refine long-range production and site utilization plans, incorporating site vision beyond just production, and establish processes for early detection of timeline constraints for key events. The position requires strong project management, communication skills in English and Japanese, and a background in engineering.

Must Have

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• General project management skills (planning, progress tracking, risk management, team building, stakeholder coordination, communication)
• Strong verbal communication skills in English and Japanese (above daily conversational level)
• Basic knowledge of statistics and statistical methods (standard deviation, Cpk)

Good to Have

• Basic knowledge of semiconductors
• Familiarity with CAD tools
• Fundamental understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems (ability to read mechanical drawings, circuit diagrams, and flowcharts)
• General communication, meeting facilitation, and presentation skills
• Basic financial knowledge (e.g., cash flow, depreciation)
• Basic understanding of SQL
• Basic knowledge of industrial engineering (e.g., queuing theory, cycle time)
• Experience with Digital Transformation (DX) technologies (automation and data visualization using SQL, Tableau, RPA)

【Factory Automation】

＜Objective＞

• -Drive Site/Fab Modernization by exploring replacement opportunity from Manual Physical Operation to Automated Operation

• -Make an automation project proposal with ROI, and lead the project with identifying required stakeholders
• -Having Knowledge about automation equipment & Researching automation industry
• -Understanding/Investigating Site-Wide Manual Operation
• -Contribute to Micron-wide modernization through alignment efforts with Central and other sites, such as BKM sharing and Fast Follow initiatives.
• For example: Smart Warehouse (automated parts delivery system) and automated parts exchange, as well as inter-building logistics.

【Fab Run Mode/Long Range Plan PMO/Site Layout】

＜Objective＞

• -Visualize Site Long Range Loading Plan(3-10yrs or more) and Visualize Inside/Outside-Site Space Usage Plan, And then keep on brushing up the plan with factoring-in Site Vision
• \*Personnel flow line, Living space other than office, Welfare space, Visitor Space, etc.

＜Expectation＞

• -Establish Business Process to factor-in Site Vision in advance with Early detection of timeline constraint for key event/Scenario
• -Create platform for visibility of project which require cross functional collaboration work
• -Visualize Decision Making timing by Multiple Angle Scenario study for Long Range Plan

【Essential Requirement】
