Rockstar New York is seeking a talented, detail-oriented Finance Analyst to provide support to the finance team for the budgeting and forecasting processes, month-end closing and variance analysis, financial modeling, reporting, and various ad hoc requests or special projects. This person will serve as a strategic business partner who can anticipate the needs of the business and help drive growth. You will bring strong analytical skills and experience working with a wide variety of partners.

This is a full-time, in-office position based out of Rockstar’s NYC headquarters in Downtown Manhattan. 

WHAT WE DO

  • The Rockstar Finance team supports key decision-making by maintaining a forward-looking forecast, inclusive of key metrics, scenario building, as well as project-based and full-scope profit and loss analyses.
  • Our team consistently collaborates with various global departments to build and maintain cost budgets.
  • We improve existing processes and architect new solutions relating to finance operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with various publishing and development teams to manage annual operating budgets, track results, and provide visibility to finance and non-finance leadership.
  • Maintain an in-depth, full P&L, track actuals, and predict future financial performance for your assigned business areas.
  • Manage forecast data loads and validation to ensure plan data accuracy.
  • Assist with headcount planning and work with accounting to check accuracy and manage monthly re-forecasting process.
  • Work with internal teams to understand the business’ needs for future resources.
  • Support the preparation of timely, relevant, and accurate monthly reporting; analyze the results against historical, budgeted, and forecast data to facilitate and influence decision-making.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis and provide an insightful use of financial analysis techniques, tools, concepts, and models for business partners.
  • Identify areas within our existing business infastrucure to streamline and execute process improvement and automation, supporting financial system upgrades and implementations.
  • Support month-end close, working in partnership with centralized accounting teams to prepare and advise month-end accruals; conduct detailed transactional analyses against various plans to recommend reclassification of expenses as needed.
  • Reconcile and review open POs related to relevant business areas; including researching and following up on variances and timing issues.
  • Facilitate the preparation of business information and work with the Corporate Tax team to support the calculation and preparation of tax credits and other required filings.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a business-related field.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in public accounting, FP&A, or other relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated financial or analytical experience with strong forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis acumen.
  • Exceptional command of database tools and IT systems, with the ability to extract meaningful conclusions from large quantities of data.

SKILLS

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to multitask.
  • Strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude.

The pay range for this position in New York State (inclusive of New York City) at the start of employment is expected to be between the range below* per year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
