Job Description

CAE is hiring a full-time Certificated Flight Instructor for the Initial Pilot Training (IPT) Program for the USAF in Pueblo, CO. The role involves conducting ground and flight training according to FAA FAR part 141, providing instruction on aircraft systems and procedures, debriefing students, and executing flight training for USAF students to achieve Private Pilot Certification with Instrument privileges for Single and Multi-Engine Land Airplane. The instructor will also complete gradebook entries to ensure syllabus requirements are met.
Good To Have:
  • 1 - 2 Years as a flight instructor.
  • Flight Instructor Airplane Single and Multi-Engine; Instrument Airplane certification.
  • Certificated Flight Instructor teaching technologically advanced aircraft in a Part 141 flight school or Military Undergraduate Flight Training experience as a fully qualified instructor.
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office.
Must Have:
  • Conduct training (ground and flight duties) in accordance with the applicable FAA training requirements under FAR part 141.
  • Provide ground instruction on aircraft systems, training maneuvers, procedures, and other flight related subjects.
  • Conduct preflight/post flight-debriefings and provide in-flight instruction.
  • Execute flight training to USAF students resulting in Private Pilot Certification with Instrument privileges for Single and Multi-Engine Land Airplane.
  • Complete gradebook entries to ensure syllabus requirements are met.
  • High School Diploma/Equivalent.
  • Flight Instructor Airplane Single Engine Land (CFI) license.
  • Current Class III Medical.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.

We are hiring a full-time Certificated Flight Instructor for our Initial Pilot Training (IPT) Program for the United States Air Force (USAF) located in Pueblo, CO. The Certificated Flight Instructor provides training, evaluates performance, and serves as a mentor/professional developer to new aviators.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Providing ground instruction on aircraft systems, training maneuvers, procedures, and other flight related subjects.

  • Executing flight training to USAF students resulting in Private Pilot Certification with Instrument privileges for Single and Multi-Engine Land Airplane.
  • Completing gradebook entries to ensure syllabus requirements are met.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma/Equivalent
  • License(s)/Certificate(s): Flight Instructor Airplane Single Engine Land (CFI)
  • Current Class III Medical
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Preferred qualifications and Skills

  • Experience: 1 - 2 Years as a flight instructor
  • Flight Instructor Airplane Single and Multi-Engine; Instrument Airplane
  • Certificated Flight Instructor teaching technologically advanced aircraft in a Part 141 flight school or Military Undergraduate Flight Training experience as a fully qualified instructor.
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office
  • Working conditions include outdoors, hangar, office, ramp, aircraft, classroom
