Autodesk is seeking a talented Senior Software Developer to join their growing team in Berlin. The role involves building and improving critical workflows for machine learning platforms, helping customers refine their design and work with machine learning data using cloud services. Responsibilities include writing clean, reliable, and secure code primarily in TypeScript, JavaScript, React, and HTML, developing and maintaining unit and E2E tests, dividing large features into manageable tasks, collaborating with stakeholders, participating in code reviews, and promoting agile methodologies. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with TypeScript and modern front-end frameworks like React, be skilled in building responsive web interfaces, comfortable integrating with REST APIs, and practice clean coding and version control.

Position Overview

We are looking for a talented Senior Software Developer to join our growing team in Berlin. You will be an integral part of the team tasked with building and improving the critical workflows for machine learning platforms. You will be helping our customers refine and improve how they design and work with machine learning data using our cloud services. You will be working with an excellent international team of skilled developers and collaborating with all kinds of Autodesk teams around the world. The position is based in Berlin (Hybrid)


Responsibilities

  • Write clean, reliable and secure code in different languages and technologies (mostly Typescript, JavaScript, React, HTML)

  • Develop and maintain unit tests and E2E tests; strive to automate testing as much as possible

  • Help divide large features into clear, manageable tasks

  • Align activities with stakeholders, inform technical decisions and help lead projects to completion

  • Actively collaborate within and outside of the team, bringing new ideas and challenging the status quo

  • Participate in code reviews to ensure new code conforms to highest standards

  • Understand, embrace, and promote agile methodologies, principles, and values within the team

Minimum Qualifications

  • +3 years' experience as Front End Developer

  • Strong experience with TypeScript and modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React)

  • Skilled in building responsive, performant web interfaces

  • Comfortable integrating with REST APIs

  • Clean, maintainable coding practices and version control (Git)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Python (e.g., for backend or scripting)

  • Familiarity with data visualization/plotting libraries (e.g., Recharts, Chart.js, Plotly, VTK)

  • Understanding of testing, CI/CD, and accessibility best practices

  • Collaborate with Product Manager, Experience Designers and software developers to explore new capabilities, assess usability and constraints and ensure feasibility.

  • Experience with Docker and container-based development/deployment

  • Familiarity with modern front-end tooling and deployment strategies (e.g., Vite, Tailwind CSS, PostCSS, esbuild)
