Job Description

At Autodesk, the Cyber Defense - IAM team secures and enhances the organization’s digital ecosystem, leading initiatives like strengthening enterprise identity standards and implementing advanced risk tools. This role focuses on innovation, collaboration, and inclusivity, shaping digital security and ensuring trusted experiences for employees and customers. Responsibilities include acting as an SME for AWS Security and IAM platforms, managing SailPoint, Entra ID, AWS, and CyberArk, implementing identity governance, overseeing PAM and Access Management, enhancing MFA, leading RBAC and service account governance, and mentoring junior engineers.

Must Have:
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for AWS Security and Identity & Access Management (IAM) platforms.
  • Manage and support SailPoint Identity Security Cloud, Entra ID (Azure AD), AWS, and CyberArk platforms.
  • Implement and uphold identity governance best practices for enterprise identities and service accounts.
  • Oversee Privileged Account Management (PAM) and Access Management for critical systems.
  • Maintain and enhance Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) solutions.
  • Lead initiatives related to Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and service account governance.
  • 8+ years of experience in Security Engineering, with a focus on Identity and Access Management (IAM).
  • 3+ years of experience leading a team, including managing and mentoring security engineers.
  • Expertise in AWS Security, SailPoint Identity Security Cloud, Entra ID (Azure AD), Privileged Access Management (PAM), and Access Management solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with service account management, RBAC, SSO, and MFA solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for AWS Security and Identity & Access Management (IAM) platforms, supporting both enterprise and customer systems.
  • Manage and support SailPoint Identity Security Cloud, Entra ID (Azure AD), AWS, and CyberArk platforms.
  • Implement and uphold identity governance best practices for enterprise identities and service accounts.
  • Oversee Privileged Account Management (PAM) and Access Management for critical systems.
  • Maintain and enhance Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) solutions, with a focus on evolving towards passwordless authentication.
  • Lead initiatives related to Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and service account governance.
  • Mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and support for daily operations.
  • Manage and oversee deliverables and day-to-day tasks for the junior engineering team.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation to respond to incidents as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Security Engineering, with a focus on Identity and Access Management (IAM).
  • 3+ years of experience leading a team, including managing and mentoring security engineers.
  • Expertise in AWS Security, SailPoint Identity Security Cloud, Entra ID (Azure AD), Privileged Access Management (PAM), and Access Management solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with service account management, RBAC, SSO, and MFA solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • For jobs at this level, knowledge of the business starts to become as important as subject-matter knowledge.
