The Evidence and Devices Engineering team at Motorola Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join their evidence management team in Edinburgh, Scotland. This full-time role involves designing, implementing, debugging, and maintaining embedded software in C, C++, and Rust for body cameras, vehicle cameras, and evidence management software. Good To Have:

Previous working experience on Embedded Systems
Familiarity with Linux-based environments
Interest to learn and grow your skillset on Embedded Linux, Microcontrollers, Electronics

Must Have:

Designing and implementing Embedded Software in C, C++, Rust
Debugging and resolving technical problems that arise
Learning and maintaining an existing code base
Taking ownership of the feature in development
Ensuring continuous professional self-development
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Electronics, Electrical or equivalent
Knowledge of Embedded software development, testing and debugging software issues
Collaborates with co-workers and has strong communication, relationship-building, and cooperation skills
Ability to multi-task under guidance
Must have already graduated

We are a thriving and growing company in search of a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our evidence management team at our Edinburgh, Scotland site. This is a full-time role where you will play a crucial part in the development and growth of our software engineering projects. We are seeking a talented and proactive individual who can contribute to our team’s success and foster a positive culture within the company.

Job Description

Please note that this role is based in the Edinburgh Office. The successful candidate must have already graduated.

Designing and implementing Embedded Software in C, C++, Rust.
Debugging and resolving technical problems that arise.

Basic Requirements

What you bring to the table:
