Job Summary
4A Games is seeking a passionate Graphics Technical Director to lead the graphics team, ensuring top-tier visual fidelity and performance for their next-gen project. This role involves setting the technical vision for rendering technologies, collaborating across disciplines, and delivering stunning, state-of-the-art graphics. The director will manage the graphics pipeline, architect and optimize systems, and drive the development of rendering features and tools.
Must Have
- Serve as the primary technical authority for graphics architecture and implementation.
- Define and evolve strategies for future graphics development and pipeline efficiency.
- Lead the design, planning, and estimation of rendering features.
- Architect and optimize graphics systems within a AAA engine.
- Spearhead the development and integration of tools for shader authoring, debugging, profiling, and asset validation.
- Drive cross-project technical synergies for graphics modules.
- Define detailed technical specifications and graph-related documentation.
- Rapidly prototype visual features and evolve them into production-ready implementations.
- 5+ years in game development with significant involvement in graphics programming, including at least one AAA console or PC project.
- Deep expertise in C/C++, graphics architecture, rendering pipelines, and performance optimization.
- Hands-on experience with modern game engines and low-level graphics APIs (DirectX 12, Vulkan, Metal, OpenGL).
- Strong knowledge of multiplatform rendering challenges and solutions.
- Experience leading a graphics or rendering team (Lead Programmer, Graphics Engineer, or similar roles).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Excellent mathematics skills (linear algebra, calculus) relevant to graphics programming.
- Exceptional leadership, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proactive, driven, and capable of identifying issues and effectively executing solutions.
- Fluent in English.

- Experience with advanced rendering techniques: global illumination, ray tracing, volumetric effects, reflections, shadow mapping, depth of field, etc.
- Strong knowledge of shader programming languages (HLSL, GLSL, Metal Shading Language).
- Familiarity with graphics profiling, optimization, and debugging tools (e.g., RenderDoc, NVIDIA NSight, GPUView).
- Passion for pushing visual quality in games and staying at the cutting edge of graphics tech.

- Lead the design, planning, and estimation of rendering features (e.g., real-time lighting, shaders, post-processing).
- Architect and optimize graphics systems within a AAA engine, including shader compilation, resource management, and performance tuning.
- Spearhead the development and integration of tools for shader authoring, debugging, profiling, and asset validation.
- Drive cross-project technical synergies for graphics modules; propose and leverage reusable graphics solutions.
- Define detailed technical specifications and graph-related documentation for game needs.
- Rapidly prototype visual features; evolve prototypes into production-ready implementations.
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years in game development with significant involvement in graphics programming, including at least one AAA console or PC project.
