Job Summary

4A Games is seeking a Level Artist to create photo-realistic indoor and outdoor game levels. This role involves setting up lights, instancing, and placing particles within game engines. The artist will collaborate between game design and 3D Art teams, requiring experience with engines like Unreal or Cryengine, a strong understanding of light, composition, and color-coding, and intermediate 3D modeling skills. The position also demands knowledge of modular design and scene optimization.

Must Have

  • Create photo-realistic indoor and outdoor levels in game engine
  • Lights setup, instancing, placing particles
  • Work in-between game design and 3D Art teams
  • Experience with game engines like Unreal, Cryengine
  • Good understanding of light, composition, color-coding
  • Intermediate experience with any 3D modeling package
  • Understanding modular design
  • Understanding resource balancing and experience in optimizing scenes
  • Fluent in English

Good to Have

  • Artistic/architectural/engineering education or background
  • Versatility in used tools and performed tasks
  • Scripting experience with Unity and/or blueprint experience in Unreal
  • Understanding of both modern and legacy real-time rendering tech and lighting principles
  • Knowledge of additional software (ZBrush, XNormal, World Machine, Speedtree, Houdini)
  • Hardcore FPS gamer
