Job Description

Clay is a creative tool for growth, helping over 100,000 businesses find their GTM alpha through data, experimentation, and automation. The company is rapidly growing, well-resourced with a $100M Series C, and boasts a strong culture. This Growth Lead role focuses on scaling Lifecycle efforts, requiring a deep understanding of customer segments and habit-building, along with strong cross-functional collaboration to drive email and in-product communications, optimize onboarding, and launch new features.
Must Have:
  • Drive Clay’s email and in-product notification channels
  • Own all company communications and experiments to improve core metrics
  • Obsess over email onboarding process, building different tracks for personas and use cases
  • Obsess on how core market segments and personas build the habit of using Clay
  • Experiment with manufacturing habit loops through different forms of notifications
  • Partner closely with GTM Ops team for audience segments and tracking infrastructure
  • Work closely with Content and Product Marketing to launch company announcements and product features
  • Work closely with Brand to ensure emails fit guidelines and have strong brand presence
  • Experience with building lifecycle motions that drive impact in activation and product engagement
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams across Marketing, Brand, Content, and Ops
  • Experience building internal processes to optimize operations within the lifecycle function
  • Experience with experimentation, including establishing MDEs and experiment runtime

Growth, Lifecycle @ Clay

We’re seeking a Growth Lead to scale our Lifecycle efforts. This role requires someone who can clearly understand Clay’s customer segments and how each individual builds the habit of using our product. Additionally, this person needs to work really well cross-functionally to ensure we’re communicating the right updates to customers and the community.

What You’ll Do

  • You will be the main driver of Clay’s email and in-product notification channels, owning all company communications as well as experiments to improve core metrics.
  • You will obsess over our email onboarding process, building different tracks for different personas and use cases.
  • You will obsess on how our core market segments and personas build the habit of using Clay. You will then experiment with how we can manufacture habit loops through different forms of notifications.
  • You will partner very closely with our GTM Ops team to ensure you have all of the right audience segments and tracking infrastructure to implement campaigns.
  • You will work closely with Content and Product Marketing to launch ongoing company announcements and product features with clear and concise copy.
  • You will work closely with Brand to ensure our emails fit our guidelines and have a strong brand presence.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience with building lifecycle motions that drive impact in activation and product engagement.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams across Marketing, Brand, Content, and Ops to ensure marketing campaigns are being launched successfully.
  • Experience building internal processes to optimize operations within the lifecycle function.
  • Experience with experimentation - comfortable with establishing MDEs, experiment runtime, etc. but also clearly understanding when we should just run a pre and post analysis.

Compensation Range: $160K - $195K
