We’re looking for a US-based Growth Manager to join the JetBrains Academy team. This role is centered on hands-on engagement with universities, colleges, and bootcamps across the United States, while also supporting and expanding our educational outreach throughout North America.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in shaping our educational offerings for students and educators. It’s a high-impact position for someone eager to build JetBrains’ academic presence from the ground up while helping define global strategies for educational adoption.
Responsibilities:
- Drive US outreach and prospecting: Identify, engage, and qualify academic institutions and introduce them to JetBrains' educational offerings to drive adoption of JetBrains IDEs.
- Tailor and promote adoption: Assess the specific needs of each institution to recommend and deliver the most suitable solution – standalone JetBrains IDEs, integrated offering JetBrains Teacher Pack, or new integration opportunities with the institution’s Learning Management Systems (LMS) via the JetBrains Academy plugin.
- Own the engagement cycle: Lead conversations from first contact to contract closure, collaborating with legal and other internal teams to ensure timely deal execution.
- Deliver a great experience: Conduct online or on-site presentations, assist with setup, and ensure a smooth onboarding process for educators.
- Expand the channel: Collaborate with JetBrains resellers, ambassadors, and partners to scale outreach and increase adoption.
- Provide feedback: Share educator feedback, student trends, and success stories with internal teams to improve our strategy and optimize product development processes.
We will be happy to have you on our team if you:
- Have 3–5 years of experience in sales, business development, or partnership building, ideally in the EdTech, developer tools, or software industries.
- Have proven experience navigating academic systems, procurement processes, and long sales cycles.
- Bring an existing network or established relationships with academic institutions that can accelerate partnership development and adoption.
- Are comfortable with cold outreach, lead qualification, and building rapport with diverse stakeholders – from instructors all the way through to deans.
- Are passionate about technology and education, especially within STEM fields.
- Are a clear communicator with the ability to explain technical concepts in a way that resonates with educators.
- Are organized, driven, and excited to build something meaningful from the ground up.
