Job Description

World Relief seeks a dynamic HR professional to work closely with employees and leaders throughout the employee experience. This role will ensure implementation and support for all HR functions including recruiting, onboarding, engagement, and multicultural responsiveness and talent development. The organization is rapidly expanding and growing its team to meet increasing global needs, focusing on humanitarian and disaster response, community strengthening, and refugee & immigrant services.

  • Manage the full recruiting lifecycle, including screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Facilitate employee engagement initiatives and advise on performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legal requirements and HR policies.
  • Maintain a mature and personal Christian faith and commitment to World Relief's mission.

POSITION SUMMARY:

World Relief seeks a dynamic HR professional to work closely with employees and leaders throughout the employee experience. This role will ensure implementation and support for all HR functions including recruiting, onboarding, engagement, and multicultural responsiveness and talent development.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides guidance to US staff with an emphasis on talent recruiting and management.
  • Serves as primary HR point of contact for employees in assigned region, ensuring excellence in HR support
  • Support and promote multicultural responsiveness, under the guidance of the Sr. HR Partner, to create a culture where all staff and thrive and succeed in their roles.
  • Develop HR strategies and tactics to meet current and future employment needs that positively effect business outcomes
  • Determine appropriate recruiting strategies based on positions competencies and requirements
  • Screen, interview, and recommend applicants
  • Create and implement onboarding procedure resulting in smooth integration of new hires at all levels.
  • Determine cohesive communication cadence to ensure employees are abreast and knowledgeable about HR policies, practices and procedures.
  • Establish and facilitates employee engagement initiatives and works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Identifies and evaluates training needs for US staff in performance management, WR as a multicultural organization, leadership development, career and succession planning
  • Advise leaders on performance development and performance management strategies (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Offers HR policy guidance and interpretation and adapts policies for local context.
  • Consults with Office Directors and other leaders, providing HR guidance.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to employment of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with HR team to develop solutions, programs and policies
  • Assist with employee investigations as needed
  • Proactively identifies retention issues and provides timely and proper solutions.
  • Other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Mature and personal Christian faith
  • Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief
  • Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
  • Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document
  • Ability to adapts to the needs of the organization and employees
  • Ability to create effective relationships across all levels
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn World Relief’s HRIS, UKG Pro, and talent management systems.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Remote HR support experience
