About This Role
We are seeking a strategic, product-oriented HR Technology Manager to lead initiatives in HR data governance, reporting, and M&A integration. This role combines technical expertise with a product mindset to deliver scalable, user-centric solutions that support business transformation and data-driven decision-making. The HR Technology Manager will effectively manage HR Technology Specialist and HR Technology Sr Analysts team.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Ownership
- Act as a product owner for HR technology solutions, driving the roadmap, prioritization, and delivery of enhancements aligned with business needs.
- Champion a user-centric approach to HR systems, ensuring intuitive design, usability, and adoption.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback, identify pain points, and translate them into actionable product improvements.
- Monitor product performance and usage metrics to inform continuous improvement.
Data & Reporting
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of HR dashboards and reports using platforms such as Workday or other analytics tools.
- Partner with HR and business stakeholders to deliver actionable insights and support strategic decision-making.
Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)
- Serve as the HR Technology lead for M&A activities, including due diligence, system integration planning, and execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless transitions and minimal disruption to business operations.
General
- Provide strategic guidance on HR systems architecture and data strategy.
- Collaborate with the team to manage system upgrades/enhancements.
- Align HR technology initiatives with broader HR and IT strategies.
Qualifications:
- University Degree in HR or IT.
- 8+ years of experience in HR technology, with a strong focus on data/reporting, M&A, and product ownership.
- Proficiency in Workday or similar HRIS platforms.
- Good understanding of HR and payroll concepts and processes.
- Strong analytical, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience working in a complex, fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with M&A system integrations and change management.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and product lifecycle management.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, PIPEDA).
- Bilingual (English/French) is an asset.
