At JetBrains, we decided to rebrand the classic HRBP role as Team Partner because we believe this work is about more than partnering with “the business.” It’s about being embedded with real people and real teams, co-creating healthy dynamics, and helping leaders and employees thrive together. The title reflects our culture of trust, openness, and collaboration, where People Partners aren’t on the sidelines, but at the heart of shaping how our teams grow, perform, and stay connected.
About the Role
We’re now looking for a Team Partner to join our global team and support our HR functions across various offices. In this role, you’ll act as a trusted partner to HR team leaders and members, helping to strengthen collaboration, communication, team dynamics, and overall team health.
You’ll work closely with other Team Partners, HR colleagues, and leaders to ensure our HR teams remain connected, resilient, and efficient. If you’re passionate about people, collaboration, and enabling change, and you enjoy navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced environment, then this role is for you.
In this role, you will:
- Act as a partner to assigned HR teams, supporting managers and team members with interpersonal, organizational, and performance-related topics.
- Guide and support team changes such as growth, restructuring, role clarification, and leadership transitions.
- Foster open and constructive communication within and between HR teams.
- Facilitate conversations around team health, feedback, and expectations.
- Support cross-team collaboration and alignment within the HR function.
- Contribute to internal communication initiatives to enhance transparency and connectedness.
- Participate in change management efforts across HR and the wider organization.
- Play a key role in team development and long-term people initiatives within the HR department.
- Collaborate with other HR functions (recruiting, learning and development, compensation and benefits, etc.) to ensure holistic support.
- Promote values through a people-first, solutions-oriented approach.
We’d be happy to have you on our team if you have:
- At least 5 years of experience as a Team Partner, HR Business Partner, HR Partner, or a similar people-focused role.
- Experience working with HR teams or in HR-related functions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and work effectively across teams and backgrounds.
- High emotional intelligence, empathy, and discretion.
- Confidence in handling ambiguity, interpersonal challenges, and evolving team needs.
- Experience with skills mapping to support team development and identify growth opportunities.
- A solutions-focused, proactive mindset and the ability to influence others with empathy and clarity.
- The ability to adapt to change, stay grounded under pressure, and work well with different personalities and leadership styles.
- An understanding of team dynamics, feedback practices, and change management principles.
- Fluency in English.
Why join us?
At JetBrains, we believe great work happens when people feel supported, trusted, and seen. As a Team Partner, you’ll play a vital role in shaping team culture, driving healthy collaboration, and helping individuals and managers grow – all within a global, human-centered environment.
