Job Summary
The People Analytics Specialist will be central to the data-driven HR strategy, analyzing workforce data to identify trends and performance insights. This role involves developing custom Power BI dashboards and utilizing advanced Excel automation to create actionable reports for HR Leadership, supporting strategic decisions on talent, productivity, and employee engagement.
Must Have
- Design, build, test, and maintain advanced, interactive performance dashboards and scorecards using Power BI.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of HR data to identify patterns, trends, and correlations.
- Prepare and present compelling, meaningful reports with actionable recommendations to HR Leadership.
- Utilize expert-level Excel skills, including complex Macros (VBA), to automate recurring reports and streamline data collection.
- Develop and manage data models within Power BI, integrating data from various sources.
- Serve as the expert for complex data requests, providing timely and accurate analysis.
- Regularly audit data sources to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of data.
- Create and maintain thorough documentation for all custom dashboards, reports, and automated processes.
- Partner with HR Business Partners, HRIS, and other stakeholders to understand reporting needs.
- Uphold strict confidentiality and adhere to data privacy regulations for sensitive employee information.
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field.
- 5-7 years of extensive, hands-on experience in a data analytics role focused on reporting, metrics, and analysis.
- Expert-level proficiency in Power BI with a portfolio of custom, complex dashboards.
- Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel with 5-7 years of hands-on experience writing and editing complex Macros (VBA).
- Proven ability to translate complex data findings into clear, concise, and impactful reports for senior leadership.
Good to Have
- Demonstrable hands-on experience working directly within an HR functional role (e.g., HR Generalist, HRBP, HRIS) or a business Operations role.
- Experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, SuccessFactors).

Position Overview:
As our People Analytics Specialist, you will be the cornerstone of our data-driven HR strategy. You will dive deep into our workforce data to uncover trends, analyze performance, and create powerful, automated dashboards and reports. Your primary mission is to transform complex data into clear, actionable insights for the HR Leadership team. By developing custom Power BI dashboards and leveraging advanced Excel automation, you will provide the critical analysis needed to make strategic decisions about our talent, productivity, and employee engagement.
What you’ll do as the People Analytics Specialist:

Functional Responsibilities:
- Dashboard Development: Design, build, test, and maintain a suite of advanced, interactive performance dashboards and scorecards using Power BI to visualize key HR metrics (e.g., turnover, time-to-hire, performance ratings, engagement).
- Reporting & Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of HR data to identify patterns, trends, and correlations. Prepare and present compelling, meaningful reports that tell a story and provide actionable recommendations to HR Leadership.
- Data Automation: Utilize expert-level Excel skills, including the creation and maintenance of complex Macros (VBA), to automate recurring reports, streamline data collection, and improve the efficiency of HR processes.
- Data Modeling: Develop and manage data models within Power BI, integrating data from various sources (HRIS, ATS, Performance Management) to create a single source of truth for all people-related reporting.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis: Serve as the go-to expert for complex data requests, providing timely and accurate analysis to support critical business and HR initiatives.
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Data Integrity & Governance: Regularly audit data sources to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of all data used in reporting.
- Process Documentation: Create and maintain thorough documentation for all custom dashboards, reports, and automated processes to ensure business continuity.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with HR Business Partners, HRIS, and other stakeholders to understand reporting needs, define metrics, and provide analytical support.
- Confidentiality: Uphold strict confidentiality and adhere to data privacy regulations when handling sensitive employee information.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to enhance HR reporting and analytics capabilities by researching new tools, techniques, and best practices.
What you will bring to the team:
