Design Works Gaming is seeking an experienced and determined HR Manager to join their team in Scottsdale, AZ. This full-time role focuses on employee relations, labor law compliance, and fostering an engaging company culture. The manager will investigate issues, coach managers, coordinate terminations, manage recruitment, and implement benefits. This role offers the opportunity to implement new ideas and make a significant impact within an innovative team.

Must Have:
  • Investigate employee relations issues and make recommendations on resolutions
  • Advise and coach managers on performance counseling, coaching and disciplinary actions
  • Coordinate termination processing, conduct exit interviews, and track/analyze trends
  • Ensure the company adheres to all local, state and federal labor laws and regulations
  • Manage the recruitment process including posting jobs, screening resumes, conducting interviews and hiring employees
  • Develop strategies to improve employee performance, engagement and retention
  • Collaborate with management to take steps toward limiting employee turnover
  • Implement new team members’ benefits and work closely with brokers on medical, dental, vision and 401K offerings
  • Manage and update internal HRIS (Paylocity)
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 5 years of Human Resources experience
  • Working knowledge of human resources practices and labor laws

Your Role and Impact:

  • Investigate employee relations issues and make recommendations on resolutions
  • Advise and coach managers, at all levels of the organization, on such employee issues as performance counseling, coaching and disciplinary actions
  • Coordinate termination processing, conduct exit interviews, and track/analyze trends
  • Assist with employee recognition programs in place and collaborate with the HR Team on new programs to implement
  • Ensure the company adheres to all local, state and federal labor laws and regulations.
  • Manage the recruitment process including posting jobs, screening resumes, conducting interviews and hiring employees.
  • Develop strategies to improve employee performance, engagement and retention.
  • Collaborate with management to take steps toward limiting employee turnover
  • Implement new team members’ benefits and work closely with brokers on medical, dental, vision and 401K offerings
  • Partner with the HR Team on various projects to enrich employee benefits and experiences at Design Works Gaming
  • Provide timely assistance to team members
  • Manage and update internal HRIS (Paylocity)
  • Additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferred in Human Resources, Business Management or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of Human Resources experience.
  • Working knowledge of human resources practices and labor laws in the areas of employee relations, benefits, leave of absences, compensation, compliance, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Paylocity experience preferred
  • Recruiting for technical or engineering positions preferred
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, work in a fast-paced environment, and meet short deadlines
