Gorgonzola hosts Navigations Air Systems (NAS) domain. The activity of NAS domain: avionics, navigation and radar systems for civil air traffic and technologies supporting the activities of civilian and military pilots, ATC controllers and technicians of several airlines, air traffic control agencies and Air Force around the world. Italy is the Group’s Competence center for the design, production and delivery of Navigation Aids products and Competence Centre for the delivery of non-Radar Surveillance Products.
Objective:
- Undertaking all necessary site integration, commissioning, hand-over and start-up activities when a product or system has to be implemented
- Verifying that assigned works are in accordance with Customer requirements and is consistent with the latest installation schedule
- Providing training to the customer staff
- Providing feedback from site and customer
- Performing commissioning tasks on AMS NAVAIDS (Navigational Aids) and NRS (Non-radar-surveillance) catalogue products
- Recording the results of test activities in measurements sheets and preparing suitable reports
- Reviewing technical documentation and drawings
- Identifying and solving problems in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Performing Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) including documentation with customer representative
- Ensuring that the delivered system has passed all test procedures successfully
- Providing ground support during commissioning and routine flight checks
- Providing factory and on-the job training sessions for customers maintenance and operator staff
- Performing failure analysis and related on-site repair activities on customer products
- Supporting and collaborate with Project Engineering (PE) by finalizing the As Built Documentation and take the technical hand over of projects
- Providing technical internal feedback, all back up file and info from site, reports and lesson learned
- Supporting the technical documentations review/update
- Ensuring the quality, work safety and suitability of all work performed
- Required qualification:
- High school or BA Degree in Telecommunications engineering
- Several year experience in the deployment of industrial communication systems
- Mandatory: • Good knowledge of RF-/Analog-/Digital- and IT-Technologies
- Basic knowledge in electrical, mechanical engineering and telecommunication
- Safe handling of PC tools such as Excel, Word, etc
- Basic knowledge of Networking and Ethernet devices (switches, router, firewall, etc..)
- English language – fluent in writing and speech
- Preferable:
- Good knowledge of ATM (Air Traffic Management) products and procedures
- Experience in field service area
- Additional language: ability to speak additional languages such as French or German is a benefit
- Organizational talent and development of solutions for occurring difficulties and changes in plans
- Proven competence in Cooperation and Communication
- Willingness to take over responsibilities
- Willingness to travel abroad (70%) when required even in critical countries
